MACAW
Forbes and Yahoo both reported MACAW as the answer; the puzzle archive identifies August 7, 2024, as Wordle 1,145. The archive listing confirms the date and number.

One reported solve
Forbes contributor Erik Kain described solving this puzzle with TRADE, ALIGN, SAUCY, MACHO, then MACAW on his fifth guess. In his account, WordleBot showed 195 words remaining after TRADE, 43 after ALIGN, and five after SAUCY. Those are results from his particular game and WordleBot session, not universal candidate counts or a recommended sequence.
