पहले source levels जाँचें
OBS में बदलाव करने से पहले microphone और music playback के अपने device या application levels देखें। Microphone अक्सर computer-generated audio से स्वाभाविक रूप से धीमा होता है, इसलिए केवल दोनों sources की शुरुआती meter readings बराबर करने की कोशिश न करें। OBS में source level, operating system या application level और OBS fader—तीनों signal की loudness को प्रभावित कर सकते हैं। OBS का Audio Mixer Guide इन स्तरों को जाँचने और सुनकर संतुलन बनाने की सलाह देता है।

OBS में voice और background music का baseline balance बनाएं
- Sources अलग रखें: narration के microphone और music playback को OBS Audio Mixer में अलग-अलग पहचानें। इससे दोनों के meter और fader अलग नियंत्रित कर पाएँगे।
- सामान्य आवाज़ में कहानी पढ़ें: सिर्फ चुप्पी या एक छोटा वाक्य जाँचने के बजाय उस तरह का पाठ बोलें जो stream में आम तौर पर होगा।
- Narration meter देखें: बोलते समय voice को upper yellow range की ओर रखें।
- Music meter देखें: background music को green range में रखें ताकि वह narration से पीछे रहे। Meter clipping से बचने का संकेत है, लेकिन अंतिम संतुलन सुनकर तय करें।
- दोनों sources सुनें: OBS Audio Monitoring के जरिए mix सुनें। वैकल्पिक monitoring headphones मदद कर सकते हैं, लेकिन जरूरी नहीं हैं।
- Test recording वापस सुनें: कहानी का एक सामान्य हिस्सा रिकॉर्ड करें और उसे live जाने से पहले सुनें। अगर शब्द समझने में मुश्किल हो, music को कम करें या source/fader स्तर सुधारें; meter के अंक मात्र देखकर फैसला न करें।
Music को voice के दौरान अपने-आप धीमा करने के लिए ducking लगाएँ
अगर आप चाहते हैं कि बोलते समय music नीचे जाए और narration रुकने पर फिर ऊपर आए, तो OBS में music source पर Compressor filter लगाएँ और microphone को उसके Sidechain/Ducking Source के रूप में चुनें। इस व्यवस्था में compressor music को नियंत्रित करता है और narration microphone ducking का trigger होता है। OBS Compressor Filter guide में दिए शुरुआती मान ये हैं:

ये आरंभिक configuration values हैं, हर microphone, संगीत या कहानी-पाठ के लिए आदर्श setting नहीं। इन्हें लगाकर वही test recording दोहराएँ। Music बहुत देर तक दबा रहे, अचानक लौटे या narration के नीचे पर्याप्त जगह न बने तो सुनकर settings बदलें। Manual fader adjustment में music का स्तर आपको खुद बदलना पड़ता है; ducking में compressor narration के अनुसार स्तर बदलता है। किसमें transitions बेहतर लगेंगे, यह आपके mix पर निर्भर है—दोनों विकल्पों को रिकॉर्ड करके जाँचें।

Clipping और distortion से कैसे बचें

24/7 कहानी stream से पहले जाँच सूची
- सुनिश्चित करें कि narration और music अलग sources हैं और दोनों के स्तर अलग नियंत्रित किए जा सकते हैं।
- सामान्य कहानी-पाठ के साथ voice और music का संतुलन जाँचें; केवल meter numbers को बराबर करना लक्ष्य न रखें।
- Audio Monitoring से सुनें और test recording को वापस सुनें।
- अगर ducking इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं, तो voice शुरू होने, बोलते रहने और रुकने के दौरान music का व्यवहार सुनें।
- Recording में clipping, distortion या ऐसे हिस्से जाँचें जहाँ music शब्दों को ढकता हो।
- कहानी, संगीत और अन्य सामग्री के अधिकार तथा YouTube की लागू copyright और monetization नीतियाँ जाँचें। OBS के ये audio guides किसी Hindi-specific loudness target, YouTube loudness normalization या 24/7 संचालन की reliability setting को स्थापित नहीं करते।
आम समस्याएँ और उनके उपाय
Voice और music के meter ठीक दिखते हैं, पर आवाज़ दब जाती है
Meter readings perceived loudness की गारंटी नहीं देतीं। Music को कम करके, source और application levels जाँचकर तथा recording वापस सुनकर नया संतुलन बनाएँ।

जाँचें कि Compressor music source पर लगा है और Sidechain/Ducking Source में narration microphone चुना गया है। फिर बोलते हुए test recording बनाएं और सुनें।

Release की शुरुआती setting 600 ms है। इसे अपने mix पर सुनकर समायोजित करें; कोई एक मान हर stream के लिए सही नहीं है।

Recording में distortion सुनाई देती है
Voice और music के source levels तथा OBS faders जाँचें, और peak को 0 dBFS सीमा से नीचे रखें। Limiter को खराब gain setup की भरपाई मानने के बजाय सुधार के बाद test करें।
