To loop one Telugu song in OBS during a YouTube Live stream, add it as a Media Source, select the audio file, and enable Loop. For a sequence of songs, use VLC Video with a playlist and Loop Playlist enabled. These playback settings do not grant permission to broadcast the music: confirm rights for each recording and make sure the channel is allowlisted by the rights owner when required.

Choose the right OBS source

Need OBS source What to check
Repeat one song file Media Source Select the local file and enable Loop. OBS lists MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV among the supported audio formats for this source. OBS Media Sources (documentation dated January 11, 2022).
Play a collection of songs VLC Video Add tracks to its playlist, then check Loop Playlist and, if wanted, Shuffle Playlist. VLC must be installed; 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. OBS Media Sources.

Use Media Source when you want one file to repeat. Choose VLC Video when you need a maintained playlist, shuffle, or multiple tracks. In either case, test playback and scene changes before starting the broadcast.

Loop one Telugu song with Media Source

  1. Open the OBS scene where the song should play. In Sources, select + and choose Media Source. Create a new source or select an existing one.
  2. In the source properties, browse to the local song file. OBS documents MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV support for Media Source.
  3. Enable Loop. It restarts the file when playback reaches the end; OBS documents this option as off by default, so confirm it is checked.
  4. Decide whether to enable Restart playback when source becomes active. This makes playback start from the beginning when the source becomes visible; it is different from Loop, which repeats the file at its end.
  5. Apply the properties and listen to the OBS audio output. Confirm that the song is audible and that any other intended scene audio behaves as expected.

Loop a playlist with VLC Video

  1. Install VLC before configuring the source. OBS requires VLC for VLC Video to appear, and 64-bit OBS requires the 64-bit version of VLC.
  2. In the target scene, select + under Sources and choose VLC Video.
  3. Add the Telugu song files to the source playlist in the order you want them played.
  4. Check Loop Playlist to repeat the collection. OBS documents it as on by default; verify the setting rather than assuming it is enabled. Shuffle Playlist is documented as off by default; enable it only if you want a changing order.
  5. Review Visibility Behaviour. Its documented default is to stop playback while the source is not visible and restart it when visible. Test the behavior if you switch scenes during the broadcast.

Keep playback consistent across scenes

A source can behave differently when its scene is hidden. For Media Source, Close file when inactive unloads the file when the source is hidden or off the current scene; reloading it may cause a delay. If you want uninterrupted music across scene changes, check the source’s visibility and inactivity settings, then test the exact scene sequence before going live. VLC Video has its own Visibility Behaviour control, so check that separately.

Clear music rights before going live

Looping a file in OBS controls playback only; it does not establish a right to broadcast it. YouTube says live streams are scanned for third-party content. If a match remains after a warning, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube’s live-streaming guidance says a license alone may not prevent interruption: for licensed third-party content, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

YouTube’s live-stream terms require creators to have the necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. No particular Telugu recording or rights holder is established here, so check the permissions for the specific recording you plan to use.

  • Confirm that permission covers the recording itself, not only the composition or a different version.
  • Check that the permission covers live streaming in the territories where your stream will be available and any archived replay you intend to keep.
  • If the recording is licensed third-party content, ask the rights owner to allowlist your YouTube channel in Content ID before streaming.
  • Do not assume a song marked “free” is exempt from Content ID claims. YouTube’s music guidance identifies public-domain music and music used with the rights owner’s permission as safe categories, while warning that a “free” label alone does not prevent a flag.
  • Do not treat a Creator Music license for a regular video as clearance for a live stream: YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ says Creator Music currently does not support licensing for live content.

Common problems and fixes

  • The song plays once and stops: Open Media Source properties and check Loop. It is documented as off by default.
  • The song starts over after changing scenes: Check Restart playback when source becomes active and the scene’s visibility behavior. That restart-on-activation control is separate from the file’s Loop setting.
  • VLC Video is missing: Install VLC and restart or reopen OBS. Match the VLC architecture to OBS; 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC.
  • The playlist ends instead of repeating: Open VLC Video properties and verify Loop Playlist.
  • Playback pauses or reloads after a scene change: Check VLC Video’s Visibility Behaviour, or for Media Source check Close file when inactive. Test the source while switching through the scenes you plan to use.
  • YouTube warns, interrupts, or terminates the live stream: Treat this as a rights or Content ID issue, not an OBS loop-setting problem. Review YouTube’s warning and contact the rights owner about permissions and channel allowlisting.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is an always-on YouTube channel playing uploaded Telugu songs, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. The video streams as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. A free first day is available with no card, once per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube and uploaded video playback, not a live camera feed.
