अगर YouTube Live के लिए OBS में कई MP4 वीडियो क्रम से चलाने हैं, तो VLC Video Source इस्तेमाल करें—Media Source एक फ़ाइल चलाता है और उसका Loop उसी फ़ाइल को दोहराता है, अगली फ़ाइल नहीं खोलता। VLC इंस्टॉल होना चाहिए; 64-bit OBS के साथ 64-bit VLC आवश्यक है। फिर playlist का क्रम, Loop Playlist और Visibility Behaviour जाँचें।
पहले सही source चुनें
OBS में Media Source और VLC Video Source का काम अलग है। OBS Project की Media Sources guide के मुताबिक Media Source एकल वीडियो फ़ाइल चलाने के लिए है; इसका Loop विकल्प फ़ाइल पूरी होने पर उसी फ़ाइल को फिर चलाता है। कई MP4 फ़ाइलों को playlist की तरह चलाने के लिए VLC Video Source चुनें।
- एक ही वीडियो बार-बार चाहिए: Media Source और Loop।
- कई वीडियो एक के बाद एक चाहिए: VLC Video Source और playlist।
VLC Video Source और playlist की जाँच करें
- OBS में source type देखें: Sources सूची में VLC Video Source चुनें या जोड़ें। यदि वह सूची में उपलब्ध नहीं है, VLC इंस्टॉल होने की जाँच करें।
- VLC की architecture मिलाएँ: OBS Project के निर्देश के अनुसार 64-bit OBS के साथ 64-bit VLC इंस्टॉल होना चाहिए। VLC Video Source VLC libraries पर निर्भर करता है।
- Playlist items की जाँच करें: VLC Video Source की properties में सही वीडियो फ़ाइलें जोड़ें। जिस क्रम में चलाना है, उसी क्रम को सुनिश्चित करें।
- Shuffle Playlist बंद करें यदि वीडियो तय क्रम में चाहिए। यह playlist का क्रम यादृच्छिक कर सकता है।
- Loop Playlist चालू करें यदि आखिरी वीडियो के बाद playlist को फिर पहले वीडियो से शुरू करना है। OBS guide में Loop Playlist का default On बताया गया है; अपनी properties में वास्तविक setting देखें।
Loop और Loop Playlist एक-दूसरे के बदले नहीं हैं: पहले का संबंध Media Source की एक फ़ाइल से है, जबकि दूसरे का संबंध VLC Video Source की पूरी playlist से है।
Scene बदलने या source छिपाने पर playback जाँचें
यदि playlist scene बदलने, source छिपने या फिर दिखने पर रुकती है अथवा दोबारा शुरू होती है, VLC Video Source की Visibility Behaviour setting देखें। OBS की guide में source दिखाई न देने पर playback रोकने और दोबारा दिखाई देने पर restart करने का व्यवहार शामिल है। यदि source को छिपे रहने पर भी चलना चाहिए, तो उपलब्ध विकल्पों में ऐसा व्यवहार चुनें जो इस जरूरत से मेल खाता हो।

इसे जाँचते समय एक बार source को उसी scene में छिपाकर-दिखाकर और एक बार scene बदलकर देखें। इससे पता चलेगा कि समस्या playlist के अगले item में है या source की visibility के साथ playback व्यवहार बदल रहा है।
अगर एक खास MP4 पर playlist अटकती है
किसी एक फ़ाइल पर रुकने पर उस फ़ाइल को अलग से जाँचें; इससे यह तय करने में मदद मिलेगी कि समस्या playlist में है या फ़ाइल के playback में। यह निदान का तरीका है, किसी खास MP4 को दोषी मानने का प्रमाण नहीं।

- फ़ाइल को VLC में सीधे खोलकर देखें।
- OBS में उसी फ़ाइल को अकेले Media Source के रूप में चलाकर तुलना करें।
- अगर अकेले चलाने पर भी दिक्कत हो, तो कंटेनर के साथ उसके भीतर इस्तेमाल हुआ codec भी जाँचें।
OBS Project की format guide container और codec compatibility में फर्क बताती है। MP4 एक container है; केवल .mp4 extension देखकर यह पक्का नहीं होता कि उसके भीतर का codec आपके setup में ठीक चलेगा।
पुरानी version सलाह को आज का fix न मानें
2018 की OBS forum चर्चाओं में अलग-अलग उपयोगकर्ताओं ने playlist के पहले वीडियो के बाद रुकने की शिकायत की थी। एक उपयोगकर्ता ने VLC 2.2.8 को अपने मामले में समाधान बताया; एक दूसरी चर्चा में उपयोगकर्ता ने VLC 3.0.2 या उससे नए संस्करण के साथ समस्या ठीक होने की रिपोर्ट दी। ये पुराने, अलग-अलग setups के अनुभव हैं—वर्तमान universal compatibility सलाह नहीं। 2018 की पहली forum discussion और दूसरी 2018 discussion को उसी ऐतिहासिक संदर्भ में पढ़ें।

2020 के एक forum प्रश्न में playlist बदलने के बाद पहले item पर लौटने की user report थी। इससे यह साबित नहीं होता कि हर YouTube Live stream में playlist बदलने पर interruption या reset होगा। 2020 की चर्चा उस उपयोगकर्ता के मामले का संदर्भ देती है, न कि सभी setups का निष्कर्ष।
