YouTube’s published H.264 recommendation for 240p–720p at 30 fps is 4 Mbps; it also recommends keeping 20% upload headroom. In OBS, loop one recording with a Media Source or rotate recordings with a VLC Video playlist. These settings can reduce avoidable interruptions, but they cannot guarantee an uninterrupted 24/7 stream.
Choose how OBS will play the recitation
Use a rights-cleared still image or other visual, together with the audio or video files you have permission to stream. OBS offers two practical ways to play recordings continuously:

OBS lists MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV among common audio formats, and MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM among common video formats. Confirm that your files play as expected before scheduling a public stream.
Use a stable YouTube encoder configuration
In OBS, configure the output for YouTube’s RTMP or RTMPS ingest. YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted transport. The values below are a sensible starting point for a static-image recitation stream; the bitrate recommendation applies specifically to H.264 at 240p–720p and 30 fps, not to every resolution or frame rate.

Keep OBS’s output sample rate consistent with the audio source files. Listen to a private or unlisted test for clipping, silence, abrupt transitions, and gaps between recordings before making the stream public.
Check that your internet connection can sustain the stream
Measure upload speed on the network you will actually use, under conditions similar to normal operation. YouTube says the total stream bitrate must fit within available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. A speed test taken when a shared connection is quiet may overstate what is available while other people or devices are using it.

- If you see dropped frames or YouTube reports an unstable connection, lower the bitrate and test again rather than assuming the speed-test result will hold.
- Test the complete playlist, including its transitions and return to the beginning of the loop.
- Check that the computer remains cool, has sufficient storage and reliable power, and stays connected to the network for the planned run.
YouTube warns that network disruption can break a live stream. Its guidance does not establish a setting that guarantees uninterrupted multi-day operation, so treat 24/7 as an operating goal that needs monitoring.
Enable live streaming and connect OBS to YouTube
Before building the final scene, confirm that the channel can stream. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions during the prior 90 days. Its general live-streaming guidance says streamers must be at least 16.

- Confirm channel eligibility. In YouTube Studio, check that live streaming is available for the channel and that there are no applicable restrictions.
- Create or schedule the live stream. In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or schedule the broadcast and select encoder mode.
- Copy the ingest details into OBS. Enter the stream URL and stream key from the Live Control Room in OBS’s stream settings. Use the RTMPS URL when YouTube provides it.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: it authorizes an encoder to send video to your channel. Do not publish it or share it with someone who should not be able to stream.
- Run a test before the public broadcast. Check the preview and stream-health messages, then confirm playback from the channel or watch page and on a mobile device.
Clear rights for the recording and every visual
Quranic scripture being religious text does not by itself establish that a particular recording is free to rebroadcast. Check the rights in the actual recitation recording and performance. Separately check any translation, calligraphy, background image, or other third-party material used in the stream.
India’s Copyright Act recognizes performer’s rights and broadcast reproduction rights. Its listed exceptions include wording about performance or communication in the course of a bona fide religious ceremony; that wording does not establish that a continuous public YouTube playlist automatically qualifies. If you are relying on an exception, get advice on how it applies to your specific use rather than treating the religious subject matter as blanket permission.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other broadcasts. A match can produce a warning or placeholder, and leaving the content in place can interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube says even licensed third-party material may be interrupted if the channel is not on the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist. Obtain written permission covering live online streaming, territories, archiving, and monetization as relevant, and ask the owner to allowlist your channel if they use Content ID.

What to check if the stream fails

Check monetization separately from the right to stream
Permission to broadcast a recording does not by itself establish that a 24/7 recitation playlist qualifies for YouTube monetization. Whether a channel or this format meets monetization and reused-content rules is not established here. Check YouTube’s current channel monetization policies and the status of the specific channel before relying on revenue.
