Amazon’s FAQ lists U.S. Prime membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year, with discounted options for eligible groups. Membership prices and eligibility can change; consult Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days FAQ for current terms. The FAQ says deal drops are scheduled three times daily—at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT.
How can you tell whether an Amazon gaming deal is worth it?
- Check the live offer. Confirm the price, seller, stock, shipping, coupon requirements, and membership conditions on the product page. A deal article’s listed price may have changed.
- Use price history as context. Amazon says eligible product pages can show up to 365 days of price history. That history can help you assess a listed discount, but it does not by itself prove a historic low.
- Compare the full product, not just the discount. Match specifications to your gaming system and needs. A lower price on a different configuration is not a like-for-like comparison.
- Check other retailers. A roundup that covers Amazon and other stores does not establish that an Amazon offer is the best available price.

What should you check before buying gaming hardware?
Monitors
Match resolution and refresh rate to your PC or console, then consider screen size and panel type. The MP225 and MP243L are smaller, lower-cost 1080p-class options with VA and IPS panels respectively; they are not equivalent to premium curved, 4K, or 6K displays. Confirm the MP225’s exact resolution and inputs in its current listing, and verify both monitor models’ specifications before purchase.
Headsets
Check whether the headset is wired or wireless, how it connects, and whether it supports your platform. Confirm microphone behavior, weight, and audio features in the live listing or manufacturer documentation; the cited specifications do not establish that either model works identically across every gaming platform.
