How to reach the rooftop Mystical Crate
Follow the Mystical Crate marker toward the hospital roof and use the visible stairs and damaged areas as landmarks. Guides describe different approaches: one routes through upper floors toward the Nurse’s Station and Emergency area, while another mentions a damaged wall and stairs leading up. The directions do not establish one route that works for every map state, so let the in-game marker guide the final approach.

- Enter Dayton Hospital and check the settlement objective tracker for the tasks currently active in your game.
- Use Spacetime to mark nearby crates and treasures as you search the hospital and its surroundings.
- Open the Mystical Crate on the roof and any two weapon or gear crates that count toward your tracker.
- Activate the Rift Anchor after completing the objectives to collect settlement rewards.
The official Settlement Exploration Guide, published May 20, 2024, explains that settlements contain multiple weapon and gear crates but only one Mysterious Treasure, obtainable once, with Blueprint Fragments for weapons or armor. It also recommends using Spacetime to locate nearby treasures and crates and activating the Rift Anchor after completing settlement objectives.
