To add a friend in Once Human, open the Social menu, search for their in-game ID, and send a friend request. Once they accept, invite them to your team. To play together, both players also need to be in the same region and on the same server.
How to add a friend in Once Human
- Exchange in-game IDs. Ask your friend for the ID they use in Once Human.
- Search and send a request. Open Social, use the ID search, find your friend, and send a friend request. This menu sequence is described by TimeSaver.gg’s guide; menu labels may change with updates.
- Wait for them to accept. You need to be connected as friends before inviting them to a team.
- Invite them to your team. Use the team invitation option once the request has been accepted.
The official Once Human Console Launch FAQ, dated August 27, 2026, confirms that players can add friends and team up across platforms.
How to join the same server
Being friends is not enough on its own: you and your friend must select the same region and server to play together. Players in different regions cannot join one another because those regional servers are in separate data centers.
- Confirm that you and your friend are using the same region.
- Clear the beginner stages, then select More Servers to choose the server your friend is on. This is the route described in the official FAQ for joining a particular server under a scenario.
- If that server is full, ask your friend for the Special Invitation Code available under their character namecard. The official Server Selection Guide, dated April 22, 2025, also describes using a friend’s invitation code when a server is full.
Joining a friend who is already in a scenario can depend on your progress and whether the scenario has reached its rest period. Check the scenario options in-game; the available route may vary with your progression.

Can you add friends across PC, console, and mobile?
Yes. The official FAQ says cross-platform play is supported among console, PC, and mobile, and specifically confirms that PlayStation and Xbox players can play together. There is an important server restriction: PC and mobile players cannot enter servers marked as console-only, even though they may be able to view characters that have logged into those servers. Check the server type before choosing where to start.

Why can’t I see my friend in the game world?
- Check region and server first. You must be in the same region and select the same server to play together.
- Check the server type. A PC or mobile player cannot join a console-only server.
- Match Worlds if you are on the same server. TimeSaver.gg advises switching to the same World when friends cannot find each other in-game. This is secondary-guide troubleshooting advice; the official FAQ cited here does not specify a World-matching rule.
