Once Human lists the GTX 750 Ti 4G or Radeon RX 550 as minimum graphics options, so driver and Windows checks help only when a supported dedicated card is already installed.
That makes the first diagnostic question simple: does the computer have a dedicated GPU, and is Once Human actually using it? The answer determines whether the fix is configuration work or a hardware upgrade.

Key takeaways
- Once Human’s “integrated graphics card not supported” error usually means the game is using processor graphics or the computer has no qualifying dedicated GPU.
- The published minimum graphics options are Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 4G and AMD Radeon RX 550; the recommended options include GTX 1060 6G, RX 580 2304SP, and Intel Arc A380.
- A PC with a dedicated GPU may be fixable through driver, Windows GPU-selection, BIOS, monitor-cable, or graphics-card installation checks.
- A driver update cannot turn unsupported integrated graphics into a dedicated GPU.
- Restarting Windows can clear a stale graphics configuration, but a restart does not prove that integrated graphics are officially supported.
What does the Once Human integrated graphics card not supported error mean?
The error means Once Human is detecting integrated graphics as the active adapter, or the computer does not have a supported dedicated graphics card. The distinction matters: wrong-adapter selection can often be corrected, while an integrated-only computer may have a hardware limitation that software changes cannot solve.

| Requirement tier | Graphics options listed by Once Human | Other published requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 4G or AMD Radeon RX 550 | Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 11, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB available storage, broadband internet |
| Recommended | Nvidia GTX 1060 6G, AMD Radeon RX 580 2304SP, or Intel Arc A380 | The Steam listing identifies these as recommended graphics options |
According to the Valve Once Human Steam listing, the minimum memory requirement is 8 GB RAM and the storage requirement is 100 GB available space; the same listing says that an SSD is highly recommended. More RAM or free storage cannot compensate for a GPU that does not meet the graphics requirement.
Can Once Human run on Intel integrated graphics?
Integrated-GPU support is not established by the supplied official requirements. Once Human’s published minimum list names dedicated GPUs, so you should not assume that a newer Intel processor graphic will work merely because it may be faster than an older integrated GPU.
Intel’s guidance recommends comparing the exact processor and graphics model with a game’s published requirements. If the developer does not list the integrated model, Intel says confirmation from the game developer is needed; the safest conclusion is that support remains unconfirmed, not that every modern integrated GPU is automatically supported.
How do you check which GPU Once Human is using?
Check the active adapter before changing settings or downloading drivers. The exact GPU model determines which driver and troubleshooting path applies.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Windows Task Manager.
- Open the Performance tab and note the names of the available GPU entries, such as an Intel integrated adapter and an Nvidia, AMD, or Intel Arc discrete adapter.
- Launch Once Human while watching GPU activity. The adapter showing activity during launch and gameplay is normally the one being used.
- Record the exact model name. Do not download a generic driver based only on the processor brand.
You can also inspect Windows’ display-adapter information through Settings > System > Display > Advanced display, or through Device Manager > Display adapters. If the dedicated GPU is missing, disabled, or shown with an error, resolve that condition before changing in-game settings.
What should you do if the PC has a dedicated GPU?
If the computer has both integrated and dedicated graphics, work through the following checks in order.

- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Powered by GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
- Integrated with 16GB GDDR7 256bit memory interface
- PCIe 5.0

1. Install the correct dedicated-GPU driver
Install the driver for the exact Nvidia, AMD, or Intel Arc model shown in Windows. Laptop and OEM desktop owners should prefer the computer manufacturer’s driver when one is provided, because customized systems may require an OEM-specific package.
Intel identifies several reasons a graphics-driver installation can fail, including the wrong graphics controller, an operating-system mismatch, an OEM-customized system, or graphics hardware that is disabled or absent. AMD similarly documents that embedded, legacy, and OEM-customized Radeon hardware may require a different driver source. The relevant official guidance is available from Intel’s graphics-driver minimum-requirements troubleshooting article and AMD’s Radeon installer error documentation.
Restart Windows after installing or reinstalling the driver, then test Once Human again.
2. Force Once Human to use the high-performance GPU
Windows can assign a different GPU to an individual game, particularly on laptops with switchable graphics.
- Open Settings > System > Display > Graphics.
- Add Once Human’s executable if it is not already listed. Use Browse to select the game executable from its installation folder.
- Select the game in the list, open Options, choose High performance, and select Save.
- If the laptop has an Nvidia or AMD control panel, set Once Human to use the high-performance or discrete GPU there as well.
This procedure changes adapter selection only. It cannot upgrade the capabilities of an integrated GPU or make an integrated-only system satisfy a dedicated-GPU requirement.
3. Check BIOS display settings
On a desktop with integrated and discrete graphics, BIOS may be configured to prefer the processor graphics. Look for a setting such as Primary Display, Initiate Graphic Adapter, or a similar motherboard-specific option, and select the PCIe or discrete graphics adapter when appropriate.

- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4. System Requirements: Minimum 850W PSU with 16-pin 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) connector required. Verify before purchasing.
- Military-grade components deliver rock-solid power and longer lifespan for ultimate durability. Compatibility: 348mm (13.7") length, 3.6 slots, 4.3 lbs. Confirm case clearance and slot spacing. GPU bracket included.
- Protective PCB coating helps protect against short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris
- 3.6-slot design with massive fin array optimized for airflow from three Axial-tech fans
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal thermal performance and longevity, outlasting traditional thermal paste for graphics cards under heavy loads
Do not change BIOS settings casually. Record the original value and consult the motherboard manual if the setting is unclear. Intel’s official desktop guidance covers selecting the discrete adapter and troubleshooting systems that cannot use it.
4. Connect the monitor to the graphics card
On a desktop, the monitor cable should be connected to a video output on the dedicated graphics card, not to the motherboard’s video output. Intel’s instruction is to “Ensure that the output device of the system … is connected to the Discrete Graphics Adapter.” See Intel’s documented discrete-GPU troubleshooting steps.
A wrong display connection can make the system appear to prefer integrated graphics even when a dedicated card is installed. Also check that the card is fully seated in its PCIe slot and that all required power connectors are attached.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →5. Restart after graphics-setting changes
Restart Windows after changing the driver, Windows GPU preference, BIOS display setting, or physical display connection. A restart can clear stale adapter-selection or driver state.
Community reports describe the same wording appearing after relaunches, restarts, or graphics-setting changes, including on systems that reportedly contain a discrete GPU. Those reports are anecdotal and show a possible configuration symptom; they do not establish that Once Human officially supports all integrated graphics.
What if the computer has only integrated graphics?
If the PC has no dedicated GPU, there is no reliable software-only conversion that can make processor graphics behave like a supported dedicated card. The practical options are to use another supported computer, upgrade an expandable desktop, or replace a laptop that cannot accept an internal discrete GPU.

| System situation | Most realistic next step | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Integrated graphics only on a laptop | Use another supported PC or replace the laptop | Most laptops cannot accept an internal GPU upgrade |
| Integrated graphics only on an upgradeable desktop | Install a compatible dedicated GPU | PCIe space, power supply, connectors, case clearance, and display outputs must match |
| Dedicated GPU installed but not detected | Check driver, BIOS, cable, seating, and power connections | The card may be disabled, incorrectly installed, or incompatible with the system |
Intel explains that adding a dedicated graphics card generally disables or replaces processor-integrated graphics rather than combining both GPUs into one graphics processor. Before purchasing a card, verify the desktop’s available PCIe slot, case clearance, power-supply capacity, required power connectors, monitor outputs, and operating-system support. An older used card can also carry condition and compatibility risks.

The GTX 750 Ti 4G and Radeon RX 550 are the minimum graphics options listed by Once Human, but meeting a model name on paper does not guarantee a particular frame rate or trouble-free play. The official listing provides requirements, not an independent performance benchmark.
What other Once Human requirements should you verify?
Once Human can fail or perform poorly for reasons beyond GPU selection, so compare the entire published minimum configuration:
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit.
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 or Snapdragon X processor class as listed by Steam.
- Memory: 8 GB RAM.
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 4G or AMD Radeon RX 550.
- Graphics API: DirectX 11.
- Storage: 100 GB available space.
- Network: Broadband internet.
- Drive: An SSD is highly recommended.
If the graphics adapter is unsupported, satisfying the processor, RAM, storage, or network requirements will not remove the graphics-card error.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Intel Arc Once Human fix the same as the integrated-graphics fix?
No. Intel’s Once Human-specific article addresses unavailable DirectX 12 and Intel XeSS options on supported Intel Arc B-Series hardware, including an update-and-restart sequence. That is a separate Arc feature issue and should not be treated as a universal fix for the integrated-graphics error.
Use the Arc-specific instructions only when the computer has the supported Intel Arc hardware and the problem concerns DX12 or XeSS options. For the integrated-graphics message, first identify the active GPU and determine whether a qualifying dedicated adapter is present.

When should you contact support?
Contact the game’s technical support after confirming that the dedicated GPU is installed, visible in Windows, using the correct driver, selected as the high-performance adapter, connected to the monitor, and still producing the error. Steam provides an official Once Human gameplay and technical-issue support page.
Include the exact GPU model, Windows version, driver source and version, whether the system is a laptop or desktop, which display output is connected, and when the message first appeared. That information separates a potentially supported configuration problem from a system that simply lacks the required hardware.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Once Human run on Intel integrated graphics?
Once Human’s published minimum graphics options are an Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 4G or AMD Radeon RX 550. Integrated-GPU support is not established by the official requirements, so a newer processor GPU should not be assumed to work without developer confirmation.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCan a driver update fix the Once Human integrated graphics card not supported error?
No. A driver update can correct a missing or incorrect dedicated-GPU driver, but it cannot turn unsupported processor-integrated graphics into a dedicated GPU. An integrated-only system needs another supported PC or compatible hardware.
How do I make Once Human use my dedicated graphics card instead of integrated graphics?
Set Once Human to High performance under Settings > System > Display > Graphics, then check the vendor control panel, BIOS primary-display setting, monitor cable, GPU seating, and required power connectors. Restart Windows after changes.
Can I add a dedicated graphics card if my computer only has integrated graphics?
Desktop owners may be able to install a dedicated GPU if the system has a suitable PCIe slot, case clearance, power-supply capacity, connectors, monitor outputs, and operating-system support. Most laptops cannot accept an internal GPU upgrade.
The Bottom Line
Once Human’s integrated-graphics error is either a selectable-adapter problem or a hardware limitation. If a dedicated GPU is installed, check its exact driver, Windows High performance assignment, BIOS preference, monitor cable, seating, power, and restart state. If the computer has only integrated graphics, a driver cannot create the dedicated-GPU capability named in Once Human’s published minimum requirements.
