Recent third-party rankings disagree: Gacha.gg’s October 1 composite puts Don Quixote Doflamingo and Hakuba in S, while Pocket Gamer’s September 17 version 7.5 list puts Red Roc Monkey D. Luffy, Yonko Blackbeard, and Winner Island Trafalgar Law in SS. Treat these as dated snapshots, not a single ranking of every character.
What the latest tier lists say
The available lists cover different character sets and use different ranking methods, so their placements are best read with the publisher and date attached.
| Source and date | Method or scope | Reported placements |
|---|---|---|
| Pocket Gamer, September 17, 2026 (version 7.5) | Editorial tier list; the update added three SWORD characters. | SS: Red Roc Monkey D. Luffy (Dark Runner), Yonko Blackbeard (Dark/Light Attacker), and Winner Island Trafalgar Law (Red Runner). S includes Navy HQ / “Sword” Prince Grus, Navy HQ / “Sword” Koby, and Navy HQ / “Sword” Hibari, among others. |
| Gacha.gg, October 1, 2026 | Composite of four current tier lists: each character’s tier is the middle placement across them; order within a tier follows average placement. Gacha.gg says it rebuilds the list weekly. | S includes Don Quixote Doflamingo and Hakuba. |
| OPBR Tools, September 18, 2026 | Describes its criteria as current meta strength, League Battle performance, role value, and overall usefulness. | SS includes The Four Emperors Monkey D. Luffy and St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro; S includes The Wings Zoro & Sanji. |
These are examples from the cited lists, not a verified, normalized ranking of the full playable roster. In particular, the examples do not establish that one character is objectively the best or that a placement from one list outranks a placement from another.
How to use a tier list in battle
One Piece Bounty Rush is an objective-focused team game: two teams contest five treasure locations, and the team holding the most treasure when the match ends wins. A character’s contribution to that objective can matter as much as general combat strength. Pocket Gamer describes the main roles this way:

When choosing whom to prioritize, look beyond the letter grade: consider whether the character’s role helps your team secure or hold treasure, how the character fits your team composition, and the matchup you expect. A high placement is a broad guide to a source’s view of the meta; individual skill and the situation in a match still affect usefulness.
Why rankings disagree—and how current they are
Tier lists can differ because their authors assess different character pools and apply different methods. Gacha.gg aggregates four lists using median tier placement and average order within tiers; OPBR Tools names League Battle performance, role value, and overall usefulness among its criteria; Pocket Gamer publishes its own editorial list. Those methods are not interchangeable, so the results should not be merged into a supposedly definitive consensus.

The dates matter, too. The cited snapshots were published September 17, September 18, and October 1, 2026; Gacha.gg says it updates weekly. Game updates can change what is useful, so check the date on a list before relying on it. Bandai Namco’s official game site is a place to check official game information, but it is not evidence for a third-party tier placement or an official game-wide ranking.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can every character be ranked from these lists?
No. The available rankings do not provide a complete, consistent table covering every playable character, and they do not supply comparable character-specific win rates, pick rates, or matchup statistics. The named placements above are the ones supported by the dated sources; extending them into a full-roster order would imply evidence these lists do not establish.
