What One-Netbook has shown
Notebookcheck reported the details from a short One-Netbook preview video. The video was not independently available for inspection, so these are preview-reported details, not confirmed final specifications.

- Display: An 8.01-inch OLED panel, reported at 2480 × 1861 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Form: A clamshell design folds over the display.
- Controls: The preview reportedly shows a D-pad, face buttons, low-profile dual analog sticks and shoulder buttons.
The uninterrupted panel and clamshell form are the central ideas: the device could fold into a smaller shape for carrying while opening to reveal a large screen. That describes the design, not a tested assessment of its portability or everyday use.
Why the screen and clamshell matter for retro games
A 4:3 display is a natural fit for many older games that were designed around squarer screens, while a continuous foldable panel avoids the visible split between separate displays. Notebookcheck connects the concept to Nintendo DS and 3DS emulation, but the preview details do not establish emulator support, compatibility, controls for those systems, or performance.

Those points will depend on hardware and software that have not been disclosed. The screen’s reported dimensions and aspect ratio alone cannot show how well the device will run any particular game or emulate a dual-screen system.
“Coming Soon 2026” is not a confirmed launch date
The preview reportedly displays “Coming Soon 2026.” That is teaser language, not a firm release date, shipment window or indication that the OneXSugar Wallet can be bought now. Notebookcheck also reproduced a company teaser translated from the One-Netbook Bilibili video using Google Translate: “Redefining ‘portability’! The ONEXSUGAR WALLET foldable wallet is coming soon.”

The preview report does not state the information buyers would need to compare the Wallet with other handhelds or assess its practical trade-offs:
- Price or a retail listing
- Processor, memory or software version
- Battery capacity, weight or folded dimensions
- Regional availability or warranty terms
- Emulation support or game performance
- Hinge and screen durability
A foldable screen makes hinge wear, crease visibility and exposure to dust or lint sensible questions to ask. They are not established defects: the report includes no durability testing or evidence about long-term use.

What to look for in a future update
A useful evaluation will need more than a screen size and a teaser. Look for confirmed specifications and hands-on evidence addressing these separate questions:
- Screen: Whether the final panel retains the reported resolution and 4:3 ratio, and how the fold and crease appear in use.
- Portability: The actual folded dimensions and weight, rather than the “wallet” description alone.
- Controls: How the low-profile sticks and buttons feel, and whether their placement suits the games the device targets.
- Software: Which operating system and emulators are supported, including how dual-screen games are presented.
- Ownership: Price, release timing, regional sales, warranty coverage and independently evaluated hinge and screen durability.
Notebookcheck’s report is the available source for the preview details; it identifies One-Netbook’s Bilibili video as its source. The video could not be opened for direct verification, so the reported figures and translated teaser should be treated as attributed preview information rather than independently confirmed product specifications.
