What is Ova Magica?
Developed by ClaudiaTheDev and Skinny Frog and published by Top Hat Studios, Inc., Ova Magica is a life sim that combines farm routines with creature collecting and JRPG-style battles. Steam lists its PC release date as May 28, 2026. Its premise is to start a new life on an overgrown farm in Clover Town, raise blob companions and get to know the people who live there.
The game’s official descriptions emphasize a bright, cozy tone. There is no basis in those descriptions for calling it a horror game or claiming it includes Halloween content. Its fit for spooky season is simply that it is a new life sim to consider during fall—not that it is designed around scares.
What you do in the game
Build a farm and raise blobs
You grow crops, gather resources and use blob companions to help with some farm tasks. You can raise, train and breed blobs, with the Clover Cup providing a competition goal.

The captured page showed 582 reviews, but other Steam result snapshots from the same research window showed different review totals while retaining the 91% figure. Review counts change, so check the live Steam listing for the current percentage and count.

Where can you play it?
Steam lists the digital PC version. A July 14, 2026 announcement from Top Hat Studios and ClaudiaTheDev said console versions were planned for September 8, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation and Xbox, with physical editions expected to reach retail soon after launch. That announcement describes plans; it does not confirm current release status, regional availability, retailer stock or a live physical-edition listing. The official feature lists promise breadth, but they do not provide a reliable basis for comparing the depth of its farming, combat or social systems with other games. Treat the Steam score as one signal, then use the store page’s description and current player reviews to decide whether its blend suits you.
