Verdict: The current Jade is a capable, ready-to-use 1080p and mainstream 1440p gaming PC, but the £1,639.99 asking price needs careful comparison with equivalent systems. This verdict applies only to the current Ryzen 7 7700/GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB configuration sold under SKU FS-1DJ-EP—not to older Jade reviews using an RTX 3060 or RTX 4060 Ti.
Which Overclockers UK Jade is this?
Overclockers UK now lists the product as OcUK Gaming Jade – GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Pre-Built Gaming PC, while its imagery and older coverage still use “Refract Jade”. The SKU is FS-1DJ-EP. The listing checked in September 2026 showed the PC in stock at £1,639.99 including VAT, with free delivery. Why older Jade reviews do not match
“Jade” is a product name used across several hardware generations. A 2023 WePC sample paired a Core i5-12400F with an RTX 3060 12GB, 16GB DDR4-3200, a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD, Asus Prime B660M-A Wi-Fi board, 600W Bronze PSU and Kolink Citadel Glass SE case (WePC review). GamesRadar later covered a Ryzen 7 7700/RTX 4060 Ti/32GB DDR5 version at £1,499, with an observed discount to £1,399 (GamesRadar review).

Gaming performance: what to expect
1080p and esports
The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and Ryzen 7 7700 are well matched for high-refresh 1080p gaming. Overclockers UK publishes guide figures of 190+ FPS in PUBG, 130+ FPS in Forza Horizon 5 and 115+ FPS in Call of Duty: Warzone II at 1080p. These are retailer estimates, not independent measurements; drivers, patches, presets, mods and background tasks can change results.
1440p
1440p is a sensible target, especially with sensible presets or upscaling. The same retailer guide lists 110+ FPS in PUBG, 90+ FPS in Forza Horizon 5 and 65+ FPS in Warzone II at 1440p. Treat those numbers as orientation rather than a promise of high or ultra settings in every game. Demanding new releases may require DLSS or reduced settings, and 1% lows can matter more than a headline average.
Ray tracing, DLSS and frame generation
Rasterised games are the strongest use case. Ray tracing can reduce frame rates substantially, so judge each title separately. DLSS and frame-generation modes can raise displayed smoothness, but image quality and latency depend on the game and selected mode; they do not turn the system into a reliable 4K-ultra machine.

4K gaming
4K is possible in selected, well-optimised games with adjusted settings or upscaling, but it should not be the reason to buy this mid-range graphics tier. Buyers prioritising uncompromised 4K or heavy ray tracing should move to a faster GPU class.
Is £1,639.99 good value?
The specification is coherent: 32GB of RAM avoids the 16GB limitation found in the oldest Jade, 16GB of VRAM offers more capacity than the historical RTX 4060 Ti configuration, and the Ryzen 7 7700 remains a strong all-round gaming CPU. Windows 11, assembly, integrated Wi-Fi, free delivery and a three-year parts-and-labour warranty add convenience.
However, there is no contemporaneous, like-for-like custom-build total in the available evidence, so a definitive “good value” claim would be unjustified. At this price, compare the exact GPU, RAM, SSD, PSU, Windows licence and warranty terms against current UK alternatives before paying. The cash price should be your baseline: the page’s buy-now-pay-later example advertises a 24.89% representative APR if not settled under its stated terms, potentially raising the total substantially.
Build quality, cooling and noise
The Kolink Citadel Mesh case suggests a more airflow-oriented design than the older Glass SE chassis, but the component list cannot establish temperatures or acoustics. A proper review should measure idle, gaming and sustained-load CPU/GPU temperatures, hotspot readings, wall power and fan noise at a fixed distance, while checking for throttling and frame-time instability.

- Inspect front and rear fan count, dust filters and unobstructed intake area.
- Check GPU support, cable routing and whether power connectors are under strain.
- Verify that the DDR5 kit actually runs at 5600MT/s with EXPO enabled rather than a lower JEDEC default.
- Record the precise PSU, SSD, RAM, GPU cooler and motherboard models supplied.
Overclockers UK describes its systems as hand-built and tested; that is a retailer claim until confirmed by inspection and measurements.
Upgradeability and ownership
The 750W Gold PSU provides more nominal headroom than the older 600W Bronze unit, and the AM5 platform may offer a useful CPU upgrade path. The exact B840 board model is not stated, however, so do not assume a particular BIOS feature, processor-support list or number of expansion slots.
- Check how many DIMM and M.2 slots remain free and whether adding storage requires removing the graphics card.
- Measure GPU clearance before purchasing a larger card.
- Confirm available PCIe, SATA, fan and power connectors.
- Check the motherboard’s published BIOS support before selecting a later AM5 processor.
- Confirm the warranty position before modifying the machine.
A 1TB drive can fill quickly after Windows, launchers and several modern games. Plan for a second drive if the board and case provide a convenient slot.

The RTX 5060 Ti’s hardware video encoder makes 1080p streaming plausible, and the Ryzen 7 7700 supplies eight cores for game-plus-stream workloads. Test the chosen encoder, game capture, webcam and recording bitrate rather than treating “stream-ready” marketing language as a professional-workstation guarantee. A single 1TB SSD is also modest for large video projects, source footage or 3D assets.

Warranty, returns and what is in the box
The listing specifies three years of parts-and-labour cover, including collection and return costs for UK mainland customers. Exclusions include unauthorised servicing, components not originally supplied, relocation or transportation damage, unreasonable or excessive use, accidental or malicious damage and environmental causes. Statutory consumer rights remain separate from the commercial warranty. The retailer also states a 30-day return and refund period subject to its exclusions: see the current terms on the product page.
The standalone listing establishes Windows 11 Home, Wi-Fi capability and a power cable, but does not establish that a keyboard, mouse or monitor is included. A separate bundle lists an Asus TUF K1 keyboard, Asus TUF M3 mouse and Asus TUF VG249Q1A 24-inch 165Hz monitor for £1,155.62, shown out of stock when checked, and uses the older i5-12400F/RTX 3060 specification. It is not a current-equivalent Jade: bundle listing.
Who should buy it?
Good fit
- Players targeting high-refresh 1080p or mainstream 1440p.
- Buyers who value Windows preinstallation, support and a three-year warranty.
- Anyone who wants a capable general-purpose PC without selecting and assembling every part.
Reasons to hesitate
- The £1,639.99 price makes a same-day custom-build comparison essential.
- The exact motherboard, SSD, PSU and GPU partner are unspecified.
- 1TB storage is easily consumed by a modern game library.
- 4K ultra, extensive ray tracing and professional workloads call for a higher graphics tier, more storage or more VRAM.
- Older Jade reviews cannot be used as performance evidence for this RTX 5060 Ti model.
Final verdict
Buy the current Jade if you want a convenient UK prebuilt for 1080p and sensible 1440p gaming and the warranty and support package justify the premium over an equivalent self-build. Do not buy it on the strength of an RTX 3060-era review, assume the retailer’s FPS figures are independent tests, or treat the £1,639.99 price as automatically competitive. For 4K-first gaming, specialist creation work or maximum performance per pound, compare a faster-GPU alternative before ordering.
