There is no single best Moira build for every Stadium match. Choose a power path around the job you want to do—keep allies topped up with Biotic Orb, make Coalescence the centerpiece, or add more weapon pressure—then adapt your Armory items to the enemy team. Blizzard’s June 2026 update changed all three directions, so older Orb-focused advice may no longer reflect the current balance.
How to choose a Moira build in Stadium
Think of powers as the build’s direction and Armory items as its adjustable response to the match. Start by deciding which ability loop you want to emphasize, then use the stats panel and your opponents’ choices to guide item purchases. Blizzard’s Stadium guide says powers are selected before rounds 1, 3, 5 and 7 in the best-of-seven format; if the match reaches round seven, you will have selected four powers. Confirm the current in-game rules and descriptions, since the mode receives updates.
Blizzard’s June 2026 notes say Moira’s Orb builds had been her most popular, and describe changes that refreshed Orb options while adding Coalescence-oriented powers and improving weapon-power options. The notes reduced Biotic Orb’s damage from 60 to 50 per second and healing from 75 to 65 per second. Those figures describe the June 2026 update, not necessarily a later live patch. Biotic Orb: prioritize healing coverage and utility
Choose an Orb-oriented route when you want your build to revolve around Orb’s healing coverage and utility. Blizzard’s hero page describes powers that change how Orb heals or travels, including:

- Necrotic Orb: Listed among Moira’s Stadium powers on Blizzard’s hero page; check its current in-game description before planning around its effect.
These effects offer different utility; they do not establish a universally optimal sequence. The June 2026 reduction to Orb’s damage and healing per second also means pre-update assumptions about its throughput should not be carried forward unchanged. Coalescence: build around the ultimate and its trigger
A Coalescence-oriented path suits players who want their ultimate to define the build. Blizzard’s Moira page lists Destruction’s Divide, which lets Coalescence toggle between pure healing or pure damage, with 30% greater effect. The June 2026 notes also describe adding Coalescence-oriented powers triggered by fading through enemies.

Choose this direction when the power’s trigger and the way you expect to use Coalescence fit your match plan. The available descriptions establish what these options do, but not that they outperform Orb or weapon paths in every matchup. Check the live power text for the exact options and requirements available in your game.
Weapon pressure: a separate alternative
If you want Moira to contribute more weapon pressure, consider a weapon-focused power path rather than defaulting to Orb. Blizzard’s June 2026 notes say it improved weapon-power options, but do not establish a best weapon-power sequence or an exact Armory item order. Use the current in-game descriptions to pick powers that support your intended pressure, then adjust items to the enemy lineup and the way the match is unfolding.

Adapt Armory items as the match develops
Powers set your direction; Armory items let you respond. Blizzard groups items into Weapon, Ability and Survival categories, describes them as interchangeable, and says sold items return the same Stadium Cash spent on them. That makes it practical to revise a purchase when the opponent’s strategy changes rather than treating an early item choice as permanent.
- Check the opposing lineup and its developing strategy. Identify the threats or pressure you need to answer, rather than buying from a fixed recipe.
- Choose an item category that addresses the need. Compare Weapon, Ability and Survival options in the Armory.
- Review the stats panel. Use it to see the resulting stats before deciding whether the purchase supports your plan.
- Reconsider items when the match changes. Blizzard says items can be sold for their original Stadium Cash cost, allowing you to redirect your choices.

Save a build, but revisit it after balance changes
Use Stadium’s build tools to save and share a preferred starting path, then revise it when powers or balance change. Blizzard describes Stadium as receiving seasonal roster, map and balance updates, so a saved build is a reference—not proof that its order remains optimal.
