Hazard is a Scottish Tank hero and Phreaks member whose defining strengths are mobility, disruption and tactical space control. Blizzard’s Season 14 introduction describes his wall as a way to block enemies, control the battlefield or protect teammates. That gives a useful overview of his playstyle, but it is not a complete, exact-stat ability list: check the live in-game descriptions for current ability details.
Who is Hazard in Overwatch 2?
Blizzard introduced Hazard as the first Scottish hero in Overwatch 2 and a member of the Phreaks. The Season 14 announcement presents him as a rebellious disruptor, with a kit built around repositioning and affecting the space enemies can use.
Hazard launched with Season 14 on December 10, 2024, according to the search excerpt for Blizzard’s Hazard gameplay article. The excerpt establishes the launch timing, but not further kit details.
What does Hazard’s kit do?
Mobility and disruption
Blizzard emphasizes Hazard’s enhanced mobility for quick repositioning and dynamic play. In practical terms, the official framing is that he can move to pressure or disrupt opponents rather than relying only on a fixed frontline position. The announcement does not provide the exact movement ability mechanics or current numerical values.

Wall placement and space control
Hazard can place a wall, which Blizzard says can block enemies, control the battlefield or protect the team. Its value depends on where and when it is placed: it can alter routes and lines of approach, interrupt enemy movement, or give teammates cover. Blizzard’s description is qualitative, so it should not be read as a full account of the wall’s current duration, health or other precise mechanics.
Named abilities and current details
Blizzard’s official Hazard hero page is the primary reference for his hero listing; its retrieved result includes Bonespur and Spike Guard-related text. The page was not available to verify in detail here, so this article does not assign unverified effects, damage, cooldowns or perk interactions to those names. For exact, current descriptions, use the hero’s ability panel in-game or consult the live hero page.

Why mode matters for later Hazard changes
Hazard’s standard hero identity should be kept separate from Stadium’s build-specific powers and items. Blizzard’s June 16, 2026 retail patch notes document changes to Stadium options including Barbed Shot, Bonerot, Bunny Hop, Juiced and Twin Fang. Blizzard said the adjustments aimed to support a viable Weapon Power build while concentrating Spike Guard-oriented builds into particular power windows. These are Stadium tuning changes, not a replacement or complete list of Hazard’s standard-mode abilities.
When comparing descriptions or looking up a build, check the mode and date: Stadium has its own power and item choices, and its June 2026 changes do not by themselves establish how Hazard’s standard kit works.
