Blizzard’s animated Overwatch 2 x Transformers trailer revealed four hero crossovers: Reinhardt as Optimus Prime, Ramattra as Megatron, Bastion as Bumblebee, and Illari as Arcee. PlayOverwatch published the trailer on July 8, 2024, one day before the collaboration arrived in-game.
Which Overwatch heroes became Transformers?
The trailer paired four heroes with characters from the franchise. The three Autobot looks were Reinhardt as Optimus Prime, Bastion as Bumblebee, and Illari as Arcee; Ramattra took the role of Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. Blizzard’s Season 11 Midseason Update announcement and its July 9 patch notes list the collaboration skins.

The verified PlayOverwatch collaboration trailer opens with the line, “AUTOBOTS, you know what to do!” The trailer description does not name a speaker for it.

What came with the collaboration?
These were in-game cosmetics, not physical Transformers toys. Blizzard said the hero bundles included additional themed items such as highlight intros, victory poses, player icons, and name cards. Its July 9 patch notes described the skins as limited-time Premium Shop items and also listed themed player icons, name cards, and titles that players could earn through challenges through July 22, 2024.

In a July 9, 2024 Xbox Wire article, Blizzard Community Specialist Kaedi Peacecraft described four Legendary skins and an all-four-skins Mega Bundle. At launch, Blizzard offered them through the in-game shop or Microsoft Store.
When did the skins arrive, and are they available now?
PlayOverwatch posted the animated reveal on July 8, 2024; its trailer description said the event would arrive in-game July 9. The challenge window for earning the themed icons, name cards, and titles ran through July 22, according to Blizzard’s July 9, 2024 patch notes.

The cited announcements document the original limited-time promotion, not whether the skins have returned or are currently listed in the shop. Their availability as of October 8, 2026, is therefore unverified.
