The practical starting point is to use each ability for what it actually does, then choose positions and timing that leave you room to react.
What kind of Support is Mizuki?
Blizzard identifies Mizuki as a Support and a Survivor. The role of Survivor means using a movement ability activates passive health regeneration; Blizzard’s overview does not give a regeneration amount. His kit rewards attention to nearby allies, enemy positioning, and where he leaves his return point.

Mizuki joined the roster at the launch of Season 1 on February 10, 2026, among five new heroes. In the story, he is a Hashimoto clan member aligned with Talon and tasked with infiltrating the Yokai near Kanezaka. Those details describe his narrative, not how to build or play him.
How Mizuki’s abilities work—and how to use them
Spirit Glaive
Mizuki’s spinning blade can bounce off walls, hit enemies, and deal damage rapidly. Ricochets are part of the weapon’s intended behavior, so consider whether a wall angle could put an enemy in its path. Treat that as an opportunity, not a guaranteed hit: the official description does not establish reliable angles or a tested firing technique.

Healing Kasa
Mizuki throws the kasa to heal an ally. It bounces to nearby allies and heals Mizuki when it returns. Before throwing it, consider which teammates are close enough to benefit and whether you can make use of the return heal. Blizzard’s description does not state numerical healing, a bounce limit, or a cooldown, so those should not be assumed.
Katashiro Return
Mizuki leaps forward and leaves a paper doll behind. Reactivating the ability returns him to that doll, and he gains increased movement speed while the ability is active. The doll is therefore also a positioning commitment: before leaping, consider whether its location will remain useful if the fight turns. Keeping the reactivation available can give you a way to return or correct your position; that is a tactical inference from the ability, not a documented optimal-play rule.

Binding Chain
Binding Chain hinders the first enemy it hits. Because the documented effect is hindrance, do not treat it as a confirmed stun or assume a specific duration or damage amount. As a general use, look for a clear target when an enemy is threatening an ally or has exposed themselves; this is advice inferred from its control effect, not matchup-tested guidance.
Kekkai Sanctuary
Mizuki’s ultimate creates an area that heals allies and absorbs enemy projectiles coming from outside it. It can provide team sustain and projectile protection at once. Use it when allies can benefit from staying in the area and projectiles are a meaningful threat. The description does not say that it blocks every attack or ability, so do not rely on it as universal protection.

Remedy Aura and Survivor
Remedy Aura heals nearby allies, with its healing scaling from resources generated by dealing damage and healing. Contribute to both parts of your Support role rather than treating the aura as unrelated to your actions. Blizzard does not specify aura thresholds or healing values. Separately, Mizuki’s Survivor sub-role means a movement ability activates passive health regeneration; no regeneration amount is established in the overview.
Practical priorities in a fight
- Check ally spacing before using Healing Kasa. Nearby teammates can receive its bounces, and Mizuki receives healing when it returns.
- Think about the return point before leaping. Katashiro Return leaves the paper doll where Mizuki can return, so choose a forward position with the possible retreat in mind.
- Use the glaive’s ricochet as an angle to consider, not a promise. Its wall-bouncing behavior may create an opportunity to hit enemies, but the available description does not guarantee a connection.
- Use Binding Chain with a clear target in view. Its documented effect is to hinder the first enemy hit; avoid assuming stronger control than that.
- Look for a useful sanctuary location. Allies need to benefit from its healing area, and the protection described applies to enemy projectiles coming from outside.
- Keep Remedy Aura in mind while contributing damage and healing. Its healing scales with resources generated by both actions.
What is not established about Mizuki
Blizzard’s official overview explains the broad ability effects but does not provide numerical healing, damage, cooldowns, bounce limits, or aura thresholds. It also does not establish a universally best perk or a reliable matchup plan. Blizzard’s April 2026 Retail patch-note search result indicates that Mizuki received changes in Stadium, but the available information does not establish the full changes or exact current values. Check the current notes for the relevant mode before relying on specific balance numbers or perk recommendations; do not assume a Stadium change applies to other modes.
