The Painting Workshop has three separate entrances but one shared hub. Reach the Faceless Boy at each portal to collect the Light, Colour, and Shape of the Beast, install all three pieces in the statue at the bottom, and open the route to the hidden Lampmaster encounter. The directions and combat tips below are reported by GamesRecon’s guide, published January 23, 2026 and updated July 19, 2026; they are not independently tested here.
Where to find all three Painting Workshop entrances
The entrances lead into the same underlying workshop, so you do not need to treat them as separate dungeons. Each one provides a different Beast piece. GamesRecon describes the locations by nearby landmarks:

How to complete the Painting Workshop
- Enter a portal and platform down through the monochrome workshop. Use floating frame fragments and stones as platforms.
- At the painting platform, speak to the Faceless Boy and accept his request. At the first entrance, GamesRecon reports the prompt as “We Will”; the other entrances use equivalent agreement prompts.
- Collect that entrance’s piece: Light, Colour, or Shape of the Beast.
- Continue downward to the large statue in the central hub and interact with it to install the piece. You can insert pieces as you collect them or return with all three.
- After all three pieces are installed, the barrier behind the statue breaks. Grapple across the opened route to reach Lampmaster.
Platforming tip
GamesRecon recommends pressing the Attack button immediately after landing. The guide says this can cancel the landing roll animation and help prevent a character from rolling off a platform edge; treat it as a walkthrough tip rather than an official control instruction.
Preparing for the Lampmaster encounter
The guide describes this Lampmaster as a tougher late-game fight than the earlier Lampmaster at Stone Wave Cliffs. Its main tactical advice centers on countering Sword of Light: the floating lamps illuminate in sequence, so use Free Aim to hit them in that order.

- Dizzy: The guide flags this status as a problem because it makes aiming harder.
- Blight: This effect reduces health. Anti-Blight Pictos or party members with cleansing skills are suggested counters.
- Level: The guide suggests level 30 or higher as preparation advice, not as a confirmed minimum requirement.
Rewards listed for the fight
GamesRecon lists the Noir et Blanc achievement or trophy, along with these encounter rewards:
- At Death’s Door Picto
- Energising Attack I Picto
- Three Grandiose Chroma Catalysts
- One Recoat
The guide also says the Faceless Boy beside the exit gives a Perfect Chroma Catalyst after the fight. It can upgrade a weapon to level 33. Reward names and quantities are guide-reported and may be worth checking against your game build.
