In Palia, a Honey Lure attracts more insects for three minutes when placed on the ground. You can craft one at a Worktable after unlocking its recipe at Bug Catching Level 7, or buy a completed lure from the Bug Catching Guild at Level 10.
What does a Honey Lure do?
Honey Lure is Epic Bug Catching equipment, described in the item reference as: “When placed on the ground, lures more insects for a short period of time.” The listed duration is three minutes. The description indicates a general insect-attracting effect; it does not establish which insects or locations benefit most. Official Palia Wiki: Honey Lure
The Palia Database lists the item as Exquisite quality and identifies Steam build 24808211, updated August 29, 2026. Game mechanics can change with patches, so the duration and acquisition details may not remain fixed. Palia Database: Honey Lure

At Bug Catching Level 10, the Bug Catching Guild sells a ready-made Honey Lure for 75 Bug Catching Medals. This avoids crafting, but requires the higher level and medals rather than the Level 7 recipe unlock. The database lists the lure’s sale value as 1,075 Gold; that is its listed sale value, not the Guild purchase price. Official Palia Wiki: Honey Lure Palia Database: Honey Lure

Honey Lure vs. Honeybee Lure
These are separate items. Honey Lure attracts insects generally; Honeybee Lure is bee-specific. In official patch notes dated March 17, 2026, Palia said players could obtain up to six Bee Honey Lures from the Spring Bounty board and that they “exclusively summon bees.” The notes connect them to hunting newly introduced bee plushes, including rare Golden Bee Plush drops from Golden Glory Bee and Bahari Bee Plush drops from Bahari Bee. These are in-game plush drops, not physical merchandise. The notes describe a limited-time event reward and do not establish that it is still obtainable. Balance history
Palia’s July 8, 2025 patch notes say the Honey Lure “has been rebalanced and normalized across multiple locations.” The note does not identify the locations or explain the specific changes, so it does not support a location-by-location performance comparison.
