The June 2025 update introduced it through a limited Twitch Drop and said it would also become available through Zeki’s Wondrous Machine. Community posts in 2026 describe ongoing efforts to bring Free Realms back, though those projects’ status claims are not independently verified or official Daybreak announcements.
What is the Chatty Plush in Palia?
Chatty is the mascot plush from Free Realms, included in Palia as an in-game collectible and reference to the older MMO. The official announcement says players had told the developers that Palia reminded them of Free Realms, prompting the team to ask Daybreak Game Company to include something from the game. Palia’s announcement describes the item as the Free Realms Chatty Plush.
The cited official sources describe in-game reward routes; they do not describe a physical plush for sale.
How could players get Chatty?
The Build 0.192 patch notes framed the plush as an homage to players who still love their time in Free Realms. They listed two routes:

Are fans still trying to bring Free Realms back?
Yes. Community posts published in 2026 describe more than one effort, but they are project-community accounts rather than official Daybreak statements. Their descriptions are snapshots, not independent assessments of progress.
| Project | What its cited community post says | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| FreeRealms: Clover | A volunteer-built effort to bring Free Realms back as a playable private server; the poster said it was in active development and not a finished, polished product. | Community post, September 24, 2026 |
| Open Source Free Realms | The poster described the project as active and claimed that a coin shop, character customization, guilds, and map exploration were working. These are the poster’s claims, not an independent technical assessment. | Community post, June 20, 2026 |
The posts give different descriptions of their projects and were published on different dates. They do not support a reliable ranking of which effort is further along, nor do they establish Daybreak’s involvement or endorsement.

Why Palia included the reference
Palia presented Chatty as an affectionate nod to its own players who remembered Free Realms. The connection is therefore more than a visual Easter egg: the official announcement says the developers acted on player comparisons between the games and asked Daybreak about including a reference.
