What patch 0.197 added to housing plots
The update’s most practical additions for home builders were decorative crops, new wallpapers, and new flooring. Palia’s official patch 0.197 notes describe the acquisition paths and gardening requirements.
Decorative crops
Decorative crop items can be placed on the ground or in eligible planters and pots. They are sold at the Gardening Guild Store for Medals, with these Gardening Level requirements:
- Gardening Level 10: cotton, tomato, peppers, Napa cabbage, beans, and the dirt pile.
- Gardening Level 15: blueberry and apple.
Wallpaper and flooring
Floral Fantasy and Lilac Stripes wallpapers, along with Fantasy Cottage and Pearlescent Petals floors, were available from the Bundle Board. These options let players give a plot a more fantastical look without being tied to the premium-store schedule.

Community activities and their dates
The update paired plot customization with activities that asked players to contribute or cook together. Their announced windows matter: these were limited-time events, not ongoing features established by the patch notes.
Bounty Donation Drive
The Bulletin Board’s Bounty Donation Drive requested contributions in four categories: crops, shelf-safe foods, supplies such as fabric, leather, and iron bars, and Homestead Collection furniture. The patch notes said the bundles and rewards were available through patch 0.197 and planned to return in the future; that announcement alone does not confirm a later return.

The Great Palian Potluck
The Great Palian Potluck ran November 4–11, 2025. Palia’s official announcement set a collective target of 20 million dishes cooked. Ingredients could come from gardening, foraging, ranching, fishing, hunting, and cooking. The 20 million figure was the announced goal, not a verified final result. Palia described the event as “a reminder that the best meals are those cooked and savored with friends” in its Potluck announcement.
Other free or gameplay-facing changes
Players could sit on benches around Kilima Village. At release, the patch notes said sitting was available only in Kilima, with more cozy seating in other areas planned.

What was optional premium content
The update’s premium-store schedule was separate from its seasonal plot features. The schedule included Rapunzel-themed cosmetics and an emote, the Mimic Sales Bin, Wol Mailbox, Ormuu pets, a Rapunzel umbrella glider, tool skins, and Everafter Lake. A November 18 schedule also named the Autumnal Wishes outfit. These were optional in-game purchases, not requirements for using the free update features.
Soundtrack and collaboration notes
The patch notes said the Elderwood soundtrack was available on Spotify and pointed readers to a Palia OST vinyl. That mention does not establish present stock, the exact edition currently offered, or a particular retailer’s listing.

The notes also announced a Madrinas collaboration and the Madrinas Fun Guy Plush. At the time, the in-game plush was exclusive to the collaboration, with the possibility of becoming a Zeki’s Machine reward as early as patch 0.199. This does not confirm that a real-world plush is currently for sale.

Palia’s official Twitch Drops announcement set the campaign for November 4–25, 2025. It offered seasonal in-game rewards for viewing participating creators, with rewards collected through the in-game News section. That campaign window has passed, so the announcement is not a current claim opportunity.

Does the update matter to you?
- If you decorate your plot: the decorative crops and Bundle Board wallpapers and floors are the clearest reasons to look at patch 0.197.
- If you prefer group activities: the donation drive and Potluck provided limited-time community play, but their announced dates are over.
- If you avoid premium purchases: the core seasonal decorating additions were distinct from the listed premium-store cosmetics.
- If you are looking for collectibles: the patch mentioned a vinyl and a Madrinas collaboration, but it does not establish current physical-product availability.
For players checking what is obtainable now, consult newer official Palia notices: patch 0.197 documents what was announced in November 2025, not whether limited rewards have since returned or what merchandise is currently in stock.
