The Palit GeForce RTX 3070 JetStream OC is a large, 270W graphics card with a capable cooler, two BIOS modes and the RTX 3070’s 8GB of GDDR6. It makes sense for 1440p gaming if you find a tested unit at a good price and your case can accommodate its 304mm length, 60mm thickness and centrally positioned pair of 8-pin power sockets. Its 2020 review results are useful historical context, not a guarantee of current performance or noise.
What are the Palit RTX 3070 JetStream OC’s specifications?
Palit’s product code is NE63070T19P2-1040J. The card is based on NVIDIA’s Ampere GeForce RTX 3070 and has 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. Palit lists a 1500MHz graphics clock and 1815MHz boost clock, 5888 CUDA cores, 448GB/s memory bandwidth and PCIe 4.0 support. Its graphics-card power rating is 270W, and Palit recommends a 650W system power supply. Palit’s product specification also lists the physical dimensions, connectors and features.

Palit’s feature list includes ray-tracing and Tensor cores, DLSS, ShadowPlay, AV1 decoding, addressable RGB, and a dual BIOS with Performance and Silent modes. The cooler uses TurboFan 3.0 two-ball-bearing fans, a copper base and DrMOS components; the fans can stop at low load for 0-dB operation. These are listed features, not guarantees about acoustics or performance in every case.
How does it perform for gaming?
HEXUS reviewed the card on 17 November 2020 and described it as “among the quickest RTX 3070s tested” in its lab. It recorded the rated 1815MHz boost. That is a qualitative finding from one review period and test setup, rather than a promise that this card will outperform every other RTX 3070 or newer GPU.

TechPowerUp’s review, published 7 December 2020, tested games at 1920 × 1080, 2560 × 1440 and 3840 × 2160. Its system used an Intel Core i9-9900K at 5.0GHz, an EVGA Z390 DARK motherboard, 16GB DDR4-4000, Windows 10 version 2004, and NVIDIA 456.96 press drivers for RTX 3070 testing. Cards were preheated to steady state before measurements. TechPowerUp’s review is therefore a historical comparison under specified 2020 conditions, not a current-driver benchmark rerun.
Is it still a good 1440p card?
The RTX 3070 is a 1440p-class card, and this model provides the RTX feature set, including ray tracing and DLSS support. Whether a used example is a good buy depends on its condition and asking price relative to newer options, as well as the games and settings you intend to run. The evidence here does not establish current frame rates on modern drivers, so use recent tests of the games you play rather than treating 2020 FPS figures as current.

What about ray tracing and DLSS?
The card has dedicated ray-tracing and Tensor cores and supports DLSS. Those features can make demanding games more practical, but their effect varies by game, settings and DLSS implementation. Check whether the specific titles you play support the relevant features; the card’s specification alone does not establish a particular frame rate or image-quality result.
Will it fit in your case?
Allow clearance for a 304mm-long, 136mm-tall card that occupies 2.7 slots and measures 60mm thick. Check the case’s stated GPU clearance, but also account for front radiators, fans, drive cages and neighboring expansion cards. A nominal length allowance does not ensure that the card’s power cables can be routed comfortably.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
HEXUS noted that the two 8-pin sockets sit near the middle of the card, which can make cable routing awkward in compact or tightly managed cases. The PCB itself is about 170mm long, but the cooler extends the card to its full 304mm length, so fit planning should use the complete card dimensions rather than PCB length.
HEXUS measured the board at 1,261g and found that it stayed upright without a support bracket in its test system. A bracket is optional, though case orientation and personal anti-sag preference may make one worthwhile.

What power supply and cables does it need?
Palit recommends a 650W system PSU, and the card uses two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Confirm that your power supply has two suitable PCIe leads and that both can reach the card’s centrally located sockets without obstructing the side panel. A connector labeled CPU/EPS is not the same as a PCIe GPU power connector; use the correct leads supplied for your PSU.
The 650W figure is Palit’s recommended system-power rating, while 270W is the card’s graphics-power rating. The appropriate PSU also depends on the rest of the system and the PSU’s condition and quality; do not treat the card rating as a complete system power estimate.

How loud and cool is the JetStream OC?
HEXUS found that the fans stopped at low load and reached about 1700rpm while gaming on its test platform. The review said the Performance and Silent BIOS modes were nearly indistinguishable in practice, with both retaining the 1815MHz boost. These observations describe that review sample and setup. The cited review does not provide a sound-pressure figure in dBA, so it cannot support a precise noise rating or an assurance that the card will be quiet in every build.
The cooler uses two 95mm fans over a full-length heatsink, with die-cast aluminium plates. HEXUS noted some flex in the plastic shroud but good rigidity in the metal plates. Its fan-stop behavior is useful at low load, while gaming fan speed and perceived noise will depend on workload, case airflow and surrounding components.
Is a used Palit RTX 3070 JetStream OC worth buying?
It is worth considering when the used price is compelling, the individual card has been tested, and your case and power supply meet its requirements. The cooler and dual BIOS are attractive features, and the RTX 3070 remains a 1440p-oriented option. Value is not established by its launch-era price: HEXUS estimated £500–£600 in November 2020 amid difficult stock availability, while explicitly declining to predict an exact price. That figure is historical and says nothing about today’s market.
Before buying, check the specific seller’s return terms and any remaining warranty, since warranty status is not established here. Ask for confirmation that the fans, display outputs and both power sockets work, and look for signs of damage or persistent fan noise. Current retail or used-market price, stock, seller condition and LHR/V1 status require checking against the actual listing; none can be inferred from the model name alone.

Quick Recap
- Confirm the full 304 × 136 × 60mm clearance and 2.7-slot space, including nearby obstructions.
- Verify a 650W-or-better PSU recommendation can be met and that two 8-pin PCIe leads are available.
- Check the seller’s testing, condition, return policy and warranty details.
- Compare the asking price with current alternatives and recent game-specific benchmarks, not launch-era FPS or pricing.
