The best Feybreak-era base Pals depend on the work bottleneck you need to solve. This seven-Pal lineup prioritizes distinct jobs, useful secondary suitability, and strong specialist fit: Knocklem Ignis, Celesdir Noct, Azurmane, Bastigor, Silvance, Dandilord, and Solenne. The order is an editorial ranking for role coverage—not an official ranking or a universal score. Several picks come from late-game World Tree encounters, so some are goals to work toward rather than early-base hires.
How this ranking works
Work suitability determines which base tasks a Pal can perform and affects its work rate. A Pal with a high rating in one job is not automatically the best choice for another, and a useful secondary job can make a worker more valuable when your base has multiple needs. Current 1.0 guides also account for investment and partner skills, so natural suitability alone does not settle every comparison. TimeSaver.gg’s 1.0 overview describes a level range from 0 to 8 naturally, with investment paths that can raise suitability to 9 or 10.
The ranking below balances specialist strength with useful job coverage. Suitability figures are from the cited guides and are version-specific: the 1.0 figures come from PC Gamer’s guide updated August 14, 2026, while Azurmane’s listed Electricity level comes from Feybreak-era guidance. Because work suitability was rebalanced for 1.0, do not treat the older Azurmane figure as a confirmed current value.
The 7 best Feybreak base Pals
1. Knocklem Ignis — Mining, Transporting, and Kindling
For a base that needs mined materials moved as well as extracted, Knocklem Ignis offers unusually broad coverage. PC Gamer’s 1.0 guide lists Mining 7, Transporting 7, and Kindling 5, making it a strong slot-efficient worker when those jobs all matter. Its value here is not simply the high Mining level: Transporting helps cover a separate step in the material flow. PC Gamer’s 1.0 base-Pal guide favors that combination over selecting only for a single job.

2. Celesdir Noct — Lumbering
Celesdir Noct is the dedicated wood specialist in this lineup. The 1.0 guide lists Lumbering 8 and Gathering 4, with the latter providing a secondary use beyond wood production. It is described as a late-game World Tree overworld boss, so the excellent specialization comes with a progression cost: it is not a convenient early-game answer to a wood shortage.
3. Azurmane — Electricity (Feybreak-era recommendation)
In Feybreak-era guidance, Azurmane is recommended for power generation, with Electricity 4 and Gathering 1 listed by Prima Games. That makes it a plausible specialist to consider when planning a Feybreak-era base around electricity. The evidence is from before 1.0, however, and the 1.0 rework means the listed level should not be assumed to remain current without checking the live game’s values. Prima Games’ Feybreak Pal guide is the source for the older suitability figures.
4. Bastigor — Cooling
Bastigor is the clearest Cooling specialist among these picks. PC Gamer’s 1.0 guide lists Cooling 8, Lumbering 6, and Mining 5, and identifies it as the highest starting suitability for Cooling in that guide. The other jobs add flexibility, but the recommendation is to assign Bastigor to Cooling when that is the base’s main need.
5. Silvance — Medicine Production
For medicine, Silvance combines top-end specialist suitability with several useful supporting jobs. The 1.0 guide lists Medicine Production 8, Handiwork 6, Planting 6, Gathering 4, and Transporting 2. It is described as an endgame World Tree boss, so its broad job list is most relevant once you have reached that part of progression—not as an easy early-base recruit.
Rank #3
6. Dandilord — Planting
Dandilord is the planting choice for a base that also benefits from crafting and medicine support. Its listed 1.0 suitability is Planting 8, Handiwork 6, Medicine Production 6, Gathering 5, and Transporting 3. Those secondary jobs make it a versatile addition, though its World Tree boss status likewise makes acquisition a late-game goal.
7. Solenne — Handiwork
Solenne is the focused crafting pick. PC Gamer’s 1.0 guide lists Handiwork 8, Mining 3, and Transporting 2, and calls it the highest starting Handiwork suitability in its guide. Its limited secondary coverage is less broad than Dandilord’s or Silvance’s, but it is the specialist option when Handiwork is the priority. It is also a World Tree find, making it a late-game rather than early-base recommendation.

Choose by the job your base is missing
Use the specialist first when a particular station or production chain is falling behind; choose broader coverage when several jobs need attention and base slots are limited. Keep the version and progression context in view: the PC Gamer list reports 1.0 suitability, while Azurmane’s cited numbers belong to the earlier Feybreak context. A current 1.0 ranking can also shift with handbook investment, condensing, passives, or partner skills. Palworld Database’s role-by-role guide covers the base work-type taxonomy and suitability ceilings.
Feybreak itself arrived with v0.4.11 on December 23, 2024, adding Feybreak Island, new Pals, Chromite, Hexolite Quartz, expeditions, and research that can unlock permanent base-productivity benefits. Those systems add progression and productivity options, but they do not make one Pal universally best for every base. The Feybreak update notice describes the update’s additions.
