Medicine removes only the conditions it is made for; it does not restore HP. Let injuries recover through health restoration, and revive a Pal with zero HP in the Palbox.
How to choose the right treatment
- Read the condition shown for the Pal. Use the in-game status panel as the guide; reference pages do not use every condition name consistently.
- Decide whether it is an illness, an injury, or incapacitation. Illnesses call for the matching medicine. Injury states improve with health recovery. A Pal at zero HP needs revival.
- Use the matching remedy, then address HP separately if needed. Medicine can clear a status without restoring health.
The condition mappings below come from community reference pages on wiki.gg. Their pages may not reflect every current patch, so check the label and available treatment in your game.

Illnesses and their remedies
Do not assume one item cures every illness. The Medicine reference groups treatments by severity, while the Clinic reference lists additional conditions and prevention ranks. The names “Sick” and “Cold” are used inconsistently across those pages, so match the exact label shown in your game rather than treating those terms as interchangeable.

How to give medicine
Medical Supplies must be fed directly to the affected Pal to clear Ulcers or Fractures. The available reference does not establish that medicine restores lost HP, so treat status removal and health recovery as separate needs.

Injuries and incapacitation need recovery, not illness medicine
The Afflictions reference describes Minor Injury and Major Injury as health-related states, distinct from illnesses associated with low Sanity (SAN). Deployed Pals can acquire afflictions in the field or at a base.
- Minor Injury: Let the Pal recover health. The reference says the injury indication disappears when health returns to full.
- Major Injury: Support health recovery and allow more time. The reference says it transitions to Minor Injury after health recovers to a threshold.
- Incapacitated: A Pal at zero HP does not recover over time. Put it in a Palbox to revive it. The reference lists a default 10-minute revival time; this is version-sensitive game data, not a guaranteed current timer.
Because medicine does not restore HP, a Pal may need health recovery even after an illness has been cleared.

Preventing illness with the Clinic
The Clinic is for prevention and base care, not for curing an existing illness. A Pal with Medicine Production suitability must staff it; an unstaffed Clinic has no effect. The Clinic reference says a staffed Clinic reduces SAN loss across the base and can prevent eligible illnesses according to Medicine Production rank.
The wiki.gg Clinic page reports prevention chances from 15% at Medicine Production rank 1 to 60% at rank 10. It lists the following minimum ranks; these are wiki-reported game values, and patch-level verification is not established:

These are reported prevention thresholds, not a promise that a particular Pal will avoid illness. The Clinic’s listed effects apply across the base, so staffing it and addressing base SAN are the relevant prevention measures.

Medical supplies can be bought from Wandering Merchants or crafted at medicine workbenches, according to the Medicine reference. Merchant availability and prices are version-sensitive; consult current in-game listings.

The Medical Supplies reference lists this recipe:
- 3 Ingot
- 3 Horn
- 1 Bone
For higher-tier and other medicine recipes, use the Advanced Medicine Workbench. Its reference lists Low Grade Medical Supplies, Medical Supplies, High Grade Medical Supplies, and several recovery-medicine tiers; recipes require the appropriate Medicine Production rank. Check the workbench’s current recipe requirements in your game.

- Read the exact condition on the Pal’s status panel.
- For an illness, use the medicine tier associated with that condition; do not substitute a different tier on the assumption that all medicine works alike.
- For Minor or Major Injury, support health recovery rather than relying on illness medicine.
- For incapacitation, use the Palbox revival mechanic.
- After treating a case, staff the Clinic with a Medicine Production Pal and address base SAN to help reduce future problems.
