Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesYou can clear Wanted status in Palworld without dying: break line of sight with the Palpagos Islands Defense Force (PIDF), then stay out of sight until the on-screen indicator disappears. You can fast-travel to a quieter location while wanted, but distance by itself may not stop the pursuit.
How to get rid of a wanted level in Palworld without dying
- Stop committing crimes and break detection. Move behind solid terrain or into a location where PIDF pursuers cannot see you.
- Stay unseen. Wait until the Wanted indicator disappears. Palworld’s 1.0 crime-system change added the ability to clear wanted status by avoiding detection for a period, as quoted in a guide reproducing the changelog wording: PalworldBreeding.gg’s account of the 1.0 change.
- Relocate if needed. A current guide reports that fast travel remains available while wanted, so you can travel somewhere quieter and then hide. TheGamer’s current guide cautions that simply getting far away may not be enough: while the charge remains active, new responders can appear.
No verified duration for the unseen period is available, so wait for the indicator rather than relying on a specific number of minutes. The same guide says a commonly repeated five-star scale is not substantiated by official documentation or extracted game data.
Does dying clear Wanted status?
Yes. Dying and respawning clears the status, but it may cost you items depending on your world’s death-penalty setting. Check that setting before using death as a shortcut. TheGamer and GamerGuides describe death as a clearing method.
Can flying high clear the pursuit?
Some current guidance reports that climbing high on a flying mount may shake off pursuers or clear the status. Treat it as a possible tactic, not a guaranteed fix: the better-supported approach is to break line of sight and remain unseen until the indicator goes away.

What not to try
Current guidance does not identify a fine, jail, NPC, or consumable item that removes Wanted status. Older guides that say death is the only reliable option predate the 1.0 crime-system overhaul; the post-1.0 guidance adds clearing status by avoiding detection.

Do I have to die to clear Wanted status in Palworld?
No. Break line of sight with PIDF pursuers and remain unseen until the Wanted indicator disappears. Dying and respawning is an immediate alternative, but your world’s death-penalty setting may determine what you lose.
