Palworld’s v0.5.0 update, announced by Pocketpair on March 18, 2025, added crossplay across all platforms, a Global Palbox for transferring Pals between worlds, and Photo Mode. The announcement describes what these features do, but does not give detailed setup instructions, transfer limits, or platform-by-platform compatibility details.
What Palworld v0.5.0 added
Pocketpair’s v0.5.0 update announcement says the update was released on March 18, 2025. Its headline additions were crossplay, Pal transfers between worlds, and Photo Mode.
Crossplay across platforms
The announcement states: “Cross-play is now available across all platforms.” Pocketpair’s earlier announcement of the planned feature named Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Mac as then-released platforms, but the v0.5.0 release notice does not provide a fresh platform-by-platform compatibility list. It also does not explain how to enable crossplay or establish that every platform has identical feature support.
Move Pals between worlds with the Global Palbox
The Global Palbox stores Pal data and lets players transfer Pals between worlds. The update notice says: “Store Pal data in the Global Palbox and transfer Pals between worlds!” It does not specify which Pals or world configurations are eligible, whether transfers have limits, or the exact steps to perform one.

Take screenshots with Photo Mode
Photo Mode is accessible from the Pal Command Wheel. Pocketpair says players can hide the user interface and move the camera to take screenshots. The announcement does not list camera controls or additional settings.
Other additions in the update
The same v0.5.0 notice also lists Dimensional Pal Storage, cosmetic armor through the Antique Dresser, a Drafting Table for combining lower-rarity blueprints into higher-rarity ones, and dedicated servers for Mac.

How many people can play Palworld together?
Steam’s Palworld listing describes online co-op for up to four players and dedicated-server support for up to 32 players. Those are Steam listing specifications, not a stated crossplay lobby limit for v0.5.0. The update announcement does not say how many players can join a cross-platform session.
