Although it was described in coverage as the game’s first expansion, Pocketpair calls it an update; the official release notice reviewed here does not establish a separate paid DLC purchase.
When did Palworld: Feybreak come out?
Pocketpair’s release post is dated December 23, 2024, and says the Feybreak Update had been released: Pocketpair’s release announcement. The detailed Steam update notes carry a December 22, 2024 date and identify version 0.4.11. The one-day difference reflects the dates on those two official posts; Pocketpair’s release post is the source for the December 23 date.
What does the Feybreak Update add?
The update introduces Feybreak, a new island, alongside several other additions described in the official version 0.4.11 notes:
- New Pals and challenges on Feybreak.
- The Feybreak Warriors faction and its missile battery camp.
- Two resources: Chromite and Hexolite Quartz.
- Pal expeditions using the Pal Expedition Station, plus a research mechanic.
- Meowmere, a weapon from Terraria that the notes call Palworld’s first “bullet-firing melee weapon.”
Is Feybreak a separate DLC you have to buy?
The official release post and update notes describe Feybreak as an update to Palworld. They do not establish that it is sold separately as paid DLC, so they are not evidence that players need to buy a separate Feybreak product.

Palworld on PS5: price and online play
For readers looking for the underlying game, the US PlayStation Store listing lists Palworld for PS5 at $29.99 at the time it was checked. That is a regional storefront price and may change; it is not a Feybreak-specific price or proof of a separate edition. The same listing says PS Plus is required for online play and supports up to four online players with PS Plus.

Palworld continued to receive changes after Feybreak’s release. For example, later official Steam notes describe additional random-dungeon entrances. Those details are specific to later version notes and should not be read as a complete, current feature list. The official notes also warn that mods may cause crashes or save-data loss and recommend backing up important save data before troubleshooting mod issues.
