To avoid paying twice, check the plan and billing provider for each service, then manage or cancel any subscription through the company that bills it. A Paramount+ or Max login alone does not show who handles billing. The official Max bundle information reviewed here describes Disney+, Hulu, and Max—not a standard Paramount+ and Max bundle—so confirm any package offered by a TV, internet, mobile, or other provider directly with that provider.
Check who bills each subscription
Start with the account for each service and identify the billing provider. The service may bill you directly, or billing may be handled by an app store, TV provider, mobile provider, or another company. That provider determines where you can make billing changes.
Find your Max plan and biller
- On a phone, tablet, or computer: Open Max, select your profile, then select Subscription.
- On a TV device: Open Settings, then select Subscription.
- Review the plan and billing provider shown. Max says only adult profiles can manage subscriptions. If Max does not provide the controls for your plan, use the biller’s account or support channel. See Max’s guide to subscription plans and its instructions for finding who bills you.
If you cannot identify a provider-billed Max subscription from the account, Max says a bank statement may help, or you can ask your internet, mobile, or TV provider whether it bills you for Max.
Check your Paramount+ plan
Active subscribers can use their Paramount+ account to change plans. If you bought the subscription through Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Roku, or another third party, Paramount+ directs you to that company for billing questions. Its plan guidance and U.S. Terms of Use distinguish direct subscriptions from third-party purchases; the applicable biller’s account is where you should look for management or cancellation controls.

Check for overlapping or duplicate subscriptions
Compare the details for both services before canceling anything. A recurring charge for each service is not automatically a duplicate: it may represent separate subscriptions or accounts. Max says multiple monthly charges can reflect multiple accounts with active subscriptions, so check the email addresses used by everyone in the household and review the subscription on each account.
- Record the account email and plan shown for each service.
- Note the company listed as the biller and compare it with recurring bank, app-store, or provider charges.
- Check billing periods, renewal dates, and cancellation terms in the account or with the biller.
- If you recently added a package, verify whether an earlier subscription is still active and where it was originally purchased.
Max distinguishes recurring duplicate charges from a temporary authorization hold that may appear for new subscribers. If a charge is unfamiliar or appears more than once, use Max’s unexpected-charge guidance to investigate the account and charge rather than assuming the cause.

Do not assume a new bundle replaces an old subscription
Max says its Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle does not automatically replace an existing Max subscription. If you add that bundle and want to avoid multiple subscriptions, manage the earlier Max plan through the provider where you originally bought it. Max’s bundle instructions state: “If you don’t want multiple subscriptions, make sure to manage any existing subscriptions.”
The official Max bundle information reviewed here documents Disney+, Hulu, and Max; it does not establish a standard direct Paramount+ and Max bundle. A TV, internet, mobile, or other provider may offer its own package, but its availability and terms are provider-specific. Confirm which services and plans are included, who bills you, whether an existing subscription is replaced or continues separately, and where cancellation must be handled.

Before you cancel, verify the account and timing
Do not cancel solely because a service or program is also accessible through a package. First confirm which account is active, who bills it, and what the package covers. If you decide to end a subscription, use the original biller’s cancellation controls and check the confirmation for the effective date. Cancellation timing and any refund eligibility depend on the applicable provider; do not assume that cancellation ends access immediately or triggers a refund.
