parserfactory.dll is an application DLL used by Movavi software, especially Movavi Video Converter and some Movavi Video Suite releases. If parserfactory.dll is missing or cannot be loaded, reinstall the affected Movavi product from its official installer rather than copying a replacement into a Windows system folder.
What parserfactory.dll is
parserfactory.dll is not a normal Windows component and is not a standard Visual C++ Redistributable file. Public file records associate it with Movavi Video Converter releases, including Video Converter 2020, older Video Converter installations, and some Movavi Video Suite package contents.

File identification
| Detail | What the available records show |
|---|---|
| File name | parserfactory.dll |
| Category | Application DLL |
| Observed type | Win32 PE32 DLL |
| Observed architecture | 32-bit in one recorded build |
| Recorded version | 0.0.0.0 in the supplied file record |
| Recorded size | About 0.15 MB in that record |
| Associated software | Movavi Video Converter and some Video Suite releases |
The size, version, and architecture describe particular recorded builds, not a universal specification. A 64-bit Windows installation can run 32-bit Movavi software, so Windows architecture alone does not tell you which application files belong on the computer.
Identify the affected Movavi program first
Before changing files, identify exactly which program displays the error.
Common messages include:
- “ParserFactory.dll could not be found.”
- “Failed to load ParserFactory.dll.”
- “The application has failed to start because ParserFactory.dll was not found.”
- A path naming
Movavi Video Converter 20 Premium - A message saying that Movavi Video Converter 2020 cannot start because a required component is missing
The wording can vary between Windows versions and Movavi releases. The most useful clues are the program name and the path shown in the message.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Also consider what happened immediately before the failure:
- Movavi was updated or partially uninstalled.
- A cleanup utility removed application files.
- An antivirus product quarantined the DLL.
- A backup was restored.
- The installer stopped or reported an error.
- Files were moved between
Program Files,Program Files (x86), and an app-data folder. - A different Movavi version was installed over the original one.
If the error names another file, such as MSVCP140.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll, a DirectX component, or a Qt DLL, that may be the actual missing dependency. Do not treat every startup error mentioning parserfactory.dll as proof that this file alone is missing.
Fix 1: Reinstall the affected Movavi product
This is the safest and most likely solution because the DLL is private to the Movavi installation.
Before uninstalling
Make a note of:
- The exact Movavi product name.
- Its edition or release, if shown.
- The installation folder.
- Whether you purchased it through a Movavi account, an email link, or another distribution channel.
- Any activation details you may need after installation.
Back up important project files and custom media locations separately. Reinstalling the application should not be treated as a substitute for backing up personal work.
Remove the damaged installation
- Press
Windowsand type Control Panel. - Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs, then Programs and Features.
- Select the affected Movavi program.
- Choose Uninstall and follow the prompts.
- Restart Windows when the uninstall finishes.
If the program is not listed, check Settings > Apps > Installed apps on Windows 11 or Settings > Apps > Apps & features on Windows 10. Search for the Movavi product and select its uninstall option.

Use Movavi’s cleanup utility when appropriate
If a normal uninstall leaves the same error, or if a new installation detects remnants of the old one, use the cleanup utility supplied by Movavi for Windows. Follow the instructions that come with that utility and restart afterward.
The cleanup process is intended to remove Movavi-related configuration and registry entries. It is not a general Windows cleaner and should not be used to delete unrelated folders or registry entries manually.
Install from a trusted Movavi source
- Download the installer from your Movavi account or the original purchase email.
- If you no longer have the installer, obtain the matching release through Movavi’s official support or product channels.
- Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
- If the installer offers a destination, use a new local folder rather than reusing a partially damaged location.
- Complete the installation.
- Start Movavi and activate it using your legitimate account or license details.
- Confirm that the program opens and that the original project files remain available.
If the installation completes but the same message returns, do not copy a DLL from another Movavi release. Record the installation path and continue with the quarantine and dependency checks below.
Fix 2: Check antivirus quarantine and protection history
Security software can remove or block an application file. A quarantine record does not automatically prove that the DLL was malicious, but it does explain why an otherwise complete installation may be missing a file.
Windows Security steps
- Open Settings.
- Select Privacy & security on Windows 11, or Update & Security on Windows 10.
- Select Windows Security.
- Open Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Look for an event involving Movavi or
parserfactory.dll. - Review the file path, detection name, and source.
Only consider restoring a file when the installer and installation came from an official Movavi source and the quarantine record clearly identifies the expected application path. If there is any doubt, leave the file quarantined and reinstall Movavi from its official installer instead.
After reinstalling, confirm that the program starts before changing protection settings. Do not permanently disable antivirus protection to force a DLL into place.
Fix 3: Check for mixed versions and architecture problems
A 32-bit DLL must match the application build that loads it. It should not be taken from a different release simply because the file name is identical.

- Open its advanced details if available and note the installation path.
- Check both
C:Program FilesandC:Program Files (x86)for the actual Movavi folder. - If you have more than one Movavi release installed, remove or repair the one named in the error.
- Reinstall the matching release from its official installer.
Do not place a 32-bit file in a 64-bit application directory or combine files from separate Movavi versions. A 32-bit Movavi application can run normally on 64-bit Windows, so installing a 64-bit copy of a DLL is not automatically an improvement.
Fix 4: Install a Microsoft runtime only when the error names it
parserfactory.dll is not itself a Visual C++ runtime file. Installing a Microsoft runtime is relevant only when the complete error identifies a missing runtime dependency, such as MSVCP140.dll or VCRUNTIME140.dll, or when Movavi’s installer specifically requires it.
Use Microsoft’s supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads. The x86 and x64 packages are separate, and the correct package depends on the application. Older and newer runtime packages can coexist, so do not remove existing redistributables indiscriminately.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAfter installing the named runtime:
- Restart Windows.
- Start Movavi again.
- If the error still names
parserfactory.dll, repair or reinstall Movavi rather than repeatedly reinstalling Visual C++.
Fix 5: Repair Windows components if installation itself fails
System repair commands do not directly restore an application-private Movavi DLL. Use them when Windows is malfunctioning, the installer will not run, or system corruption appears to be preventing installation.
Run DISM and SFC in order
- Press
Windows. - Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for it to complete.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until the scan reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the Movavi installer again.
DISM repairs the Windows image, while SFC checks protected Windows files. If SFC reports that it found no integrity violations, that does not confirm that parserfactory.dll is present, because the DLL is not established as a protected Windows file.
Repeating these commands without knowing what changed can make troubleshooting circular. Outbyte PC Repair can show what its scan identifies when you are tired of hunting through repair results; its repair functions require the full version, and it is not a replacement for reinstalling Movavi, which remains the definitive fix for this application DLL.
If Windows still cannot install programs after DISM and SFC, install pending Windows updates, restart, and consider System Restore or Windows recovery options after backing up important files.
Fix 6: Update drivers only when Movavi shows a broader startup problem
A graphics driver is not a direct replacement for parserfactory.dll. Driver work is relevant when Movavi also crashes, displays incorrectly, or fails during startup with graphics-related messages.
Check drivers through Device Manager
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click the graphics device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if a driver is installed.
- Test Movavi again.
You can also expand Sound, video and game controllers if the full error identifies an audio or capture device. Do not remove devices or install unrelated drivers just because the DLL error appeared.

Manually checking several hardware vendors and matching driver versions can be repetitive. Outbyte Driver Updater can scan for outdated drivers and show which updates it identifies; driver installation through its full version is optional, and updating drivers does not replace the required Movavi reinstall.
Fix 7: Use Windows Features only for a specifically named component
Opening Windows Features is not a general repair for parserfactory.dll.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why regsvr32 usually does not apply
regsvr32 registers DLLs that provide registration entry points such as DllRegisterServer. There is no verified indication that Movavi’s parserfactory.dll is a self-registering COM server.
Running a command such as:
regsvr32 parserfactory.dll
will therefore normally be irrelevant. It may produce an error stating that DllRegisterServer was not found, or it may produce an architecture-related message. A missing application DLL is normally restored by repairing the application that owns it, not by registering it in the Windows registry.
What not to do
Do not download a random replacement DLL
Avoid DLL download sites websites and files supplied by strangers. A replacement may contain malware, belong to a different Movavi release, use the wrong architecture, or fail because another dependency is missing. The file name alone cannot establish authenticity.
Use the Movavi account, original purchase email, official Movavi installer, or a verified backup from the same installation and release.
Do not copy it into System32 or SysWOW64
parserfactory.dll is not established as a Windows system DLL. Copying it into C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64 can create confusing path and architecture problems while leaving the Movavi installation incomplete.

If you have a verified backup of the exact file, restore it only to the application directory expected by that exact Movavi build, and prefer reinstalling the product.
Do not mix files between releases
Do not copy parserfactory.dll from another computer, another Movavi version, or a different edition. Matching file names do not guarantee matching dependencies or compatibility.

- What happened before the failure.
- Installer logs, if the installer created them.
- Relevant crash details from Event Viewer.
To open Event Viewer, press Windows, type Event Viewer, open it, and check Windows Logs > Application for an entry created when Movavi failed. Do not delete logs before saving the relevant details.
FAQ
Is parserfactory.dll a Windows file?
No evidence supports that. It is associated with Movavi application installations and should not be treated as a Windows system component.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Is parserfactory.dll part of Visual C++ 2015 or 2015–2022?
No. Visual C++ packages provide separate runtime DLLs. Install one only when the error names a missing Microsoft runtime or the Movavi installer requires it.
Which Movavi program uses it?
The strongest attribution is Movavi Video Converter, including some older releases and Video Converter 2020. It also appears in some Movavi Video Suite package contents. The exact affected program is the one named in your error or installation path.
Will reinstalling Movavi delete my projects?
The reinstall procedure targets the application. Still, back up projects and custom media before uninstalling, and make sure you can reactivate the product afterward.
Should I run SFC to restore the file?
SFC checks protected Windows files. It is not a direct restoration method for an application-private Movavi DLL. Reinstall Movavi first.
Can I register the DLL with regsvr32?
Usually not. There is no verified evidence that this DLL provides the self-registration entry point required by regsvr32.
What if the file is present but Movavi still will not start?
Read the complete error for another missing dependency, check antivirus history, confirm that files are not mixed between releases, and reinstall the matching Movavi build. If the failure continues, send the error, product details, path, logs, and security history to Movavi support.
