Replay files are in the Demos subfolder. A community-server world is different: there is no in-game “upload save” button. Move the server’s save, configuration, and player-data folders from the old machine to the matching directories on the new host, then verify the configuration, mods, and game version before starting it.
The two save locations people mean
“Path of Titans save location” can describe two separate kinds of data:

- Local PC data: files created by the Windows game client, including locally stored replays.
- Community-server data: the world, configuration, and player data maintained by a server. These files live on the machine or hosting account running that server, not in the normal Windows client folder.
Copying the client folder will not migrate a hosted server world. Conversely, moving a server’s folders will not automatically copy a replay recorded on your own PC.
Windows Path of Titans save location
The documented root folder

Windows expands that variable to a path in your user profile, usually:
C:Users<username>AppDataLocalPathOfTitansSaved
The username and drive letter can differ on your installation. Using the environment-variable form is safer than typing a guessed profile path.

- Exit Path of Titans. Do not replace files while the game is running.
- Open File Explorer.
- Click the address bar, paste
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaved, and press Enter. - Make a backup of the relevant folder before deleting, replacing, or renaming anything.
If the folder does not open, check the spelling and slashes in the path, confirm that the Windows game has been launched at least once under the current account, and make sure you are using the same Windows profile that runs the game. The public Alderon instructions do not define one universal filename for a player’s complete local save, so preserve the whole relevant folder when support or a server administrator asks for local data.
Finding replay files
Open the Demos subfolder inside Saved:
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSavedDemos
Alderon states that replays are stored locally on your device, not on your player account or on its servers. To use a replay on another Windows installation, close the game, copy the replay file into that installation’s SavedDemos folder, and launch a compatible build. This is a file copy, not an account download.

Keep the original replay until the copy has been tested. If the replay does not appear or will not play, first confirm that it is in the exact Demos directory and that the destination game build can read it. Do not assume a replay can be opened by every future or older build.
What you can and cannot upload from the client folder
The Windows path is useful for inspecting local files and transferring replays. It is not a documented export location for a complete community-server world. A server world is administered where the server runs, so the migration source is the old server’s storage rather than %LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaved on a player’s computer.
There is also no documented in-game command that uploads a world to a new server. Treat migration as a controlled folder transfer: stop the old instance, back up its data, copy the required directories, restore them into the corresponding paths on the destination, and then start the destination.
How to upload a Path of Titans community-server world
1. Prepare a consistent source backup
- Announce a maintenance window and stop the old server cleanly. A running process can still be writing world or player data while you copy it.
- Create a dated backup containing the server’s save, configuration, and player-data folders.
- Keep the backup outside the live server directory and retain the original until the new instance has been tested.
- Record the old server’s settings, startup options, enabled mods, and game/server version so you can compare them after the transfer.
The exact folder names and destination paths can vary by host. Use the host’s Path of Titans directory as the authority; the important rule is to preserve each folder’s structure and place it in the matching location on the new machine.

2. Choose File Manager or SFTP
LOW.MS documents two normal transfer methods for a hosted Path of Titans server:
- Web File Manager: open the host’s control panel, navigate to the server files, and use its upload, extract, move, and rename controls.
- SFTP: connect with an SFTP client using the hostname, port, username, and authentication supplied by the host, then transfer the folders while preserving their hierarchy.
Use the method your host supports. File Manager is convenient for a compressed backup or a small number of files; SFTP is usually more controllable for a large directory tree because you can see transfer status and retry individual items. Do not upload a folder one level too deep by accident. For example, if the destination expects the contents of a save directory, uploading an additional nested copy of that directory can leave the server looking in the wrong place.

3. Restore the folders to matching destinations
- Create or open the destination Path of Titans server through the new host’s panel or machine.
- Stop the destination server before restoring files. Starting with an empty world and then copying files over it can create conflicts or overwrite your transfer.
- Upload the backed-up save, configuration, and player-data folders to their corresponding Path of Titans directories.
- Keep filenames, capitalization, and subfolder levels intact. Do not merge files into an unrelated game directory.
- If the host created default files, compare them with the backup rather than blindly deleting everything. Retain host-required startup files and replace only the Path of Titans data that you intend to migrate.
- Check file ownership and permissions when the host exposes those controls. The server process must be able to read its configuration and write world and player data.
When a host supplies a specific destination path, follow it even if it differs from another provider’s layout. The publicly documented procedure is a matching-directory migration, not a universal absolute path that applies to every host.
4. Check GameUserSettings.ini and mod entries
Open the restored GameUserSettings.ini and inspect the [PathOfTitans.Mods] section. LOW.MS specifically calls out the EnabledMods= entries. Those lines tell the server which mods to retrieve from mod.io during startup.

Before booting, verify that:
- the
[PathOfTitans.Mods]section is present; - the required
EnabledMods=lines were not lost during the transfer; - the destination server can reach mod.io and download the required content; and
- the world and its configuration expect the same mod set.
A missing or malformed entry can make a world appear to load without its intended content, or prevent startup while the server waits for required mods. If you intentionally changed the mod set, make that change separately from the restore so a failure can be attributed to one cause.

5. Start once and verify before opening the server to players
- Start the destination server with the restored files.
- Watch the startup output and logs for path errors, permission failures, missing mods, or a version mismatch.
- Join as an administrator or test account and check that the expected world state, settings, and player data are present.
- Test a save-producing action, stop the server, and start it again to confirm that the destination can write and reload data.
- Only after that check should you direct the wider player community to the new address.
If the server starts with a fresh world, stop it before experimenting further. Compare the destination directory with the backup, verify that the folders are in the exact paths the host expects, and restore again rather than allowing a newly generated world to overwrite evidence from the migration.
Version compatibility matters
Alderon’s support guidance says the current game version is shown in the main menu and launcher, and the launcher provides an update check. Check the client and server build before diagnosing a file transfer as failed. A copied world can be intact yet unusable when the connecting client, server executable, or required content is out of date.
For a migration, check the version at three points:

- the old server before shutdown;
- the new server before its first public boot; and
- the player client used for the test connection.
Update through the normal launcher or host controls when a mismatch is reported. Do not overwrite a good backup simply because the first connection attempt used an older client.

Keep troubleshooting changes reversible. Work from a copy, change one factor at a time, and retain the untouched source backup until the migrated server has survived a stop-and-start test.
Self-hosting versus a managed server
Alderon recognizes both self-hosted and provider-hosted community servers. The choice affects how you locate and restore a save, not the basic principle that the server’s folders must be backed up and transferred.

Choose based on the level of file access and operational responsibility you want. Whichever model you use, document the actual save, configuration, and player-data locations before an emergency migration.
A practical backup and restore routine
- Stop the server on a regular schedule and copy the save, configuration, and player-data folders together.
- Label each archive with the date, server name, game/server build, and enabled-mod set.
- Store at least one copy outside the live server machine or hosting account.
- Periodically restore a copy to a separate test instance. A backup that has never been restored is only an assumption.
- After updates or mod changes, create a new backup rather than relying on an older archive.
- When moving hosts, keep the old server offline but intact until the new instance passes a complete connection and save test.
For personal Windows files, use the same discipline: close the game, copy the relevant Saved folder before replacing it, and retain the original until replays or other requested files have been confirmed on the destination.
Console and mobile limitations
Do not apply the Windows path to console or mobile installations. The public Alderon support material does not provide a complete, platform-specific procedure for exporting a console or mobile save, and the documented Windows location should not be treated as a universal cross-platform path. For those platforms, use the platform’s supported account, storage, and support options rather than deleting files based on a Windows guide.
