The FAQ gives no PS5 launch date, and the PlayStation Store search reviewed for this article did not show an official PEAK listing.
What is the current PS5 status?
Landfall has confirmed that console versions of PEAK are being worked on. That is the strongest official update available, but it stops short of confirming a specific platform list, launch window or release date. The developers have not said when the PS5 edition will launch.

Because no date has been announced, any article, video or social-media post naming a PS5 release day is speculation unless it links to a newer statement from Landfall or an official PlayStation listing. PEAK should be described as an upcoming console port, not as a game already playable on PS5.
Is PEAK on the PlayStation Store yet?
The PlayStation Store search reviewed for this status check did not surface an official PEAK PS5 product page. Store search results can vary by country and indexing changes, so that result is not proof that a listing can never appear. It does mean there was no confirmed store page to use for a release date, price or pre-order information at the time of checking.

Be careful with similarly named games, unofficial listings and videos that use PEAK’s branding. The presence of another Landfall title on PlayStation does not indicate that PEAK has launched there.
What has Landfall promised about cross-play?
Landfall says console buyers will be able to play with the existing Steam community and with players on other console platforms. If that plan ships as stated, a PS5 player should be able to join friends on PC and other supported consoles rather than being restricted to PlayStation-only matchmaking.

The announcement does not yet explain every cross-play detail. It does not confirm whether console and Steam players will share the same account progression, whether saved progress will transfer between platforms, or whether console versions will match every PC feature at launch. Those details remain to be announced.

How PEAK works on Steam today
PEAK is a cooperative climbing game developed by Landfall and Aggro Crab. It launched on Steam on June 16, 2025. Landfall’s official press-kit description captures its premise: “PEAK is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom.”

The original Steam multiplayer supports a group of up to four players: one player can invite as many as three Steam friends. Proximity chat lets teammates communicate based on their in-game distance, an important part of coordinating climbs and reacting when someone gets into trouble. The game can also be played solo.
Steam’s listing identifies support for PlayStation controllers, but a compatible controller is not evidence that the full game currently runs on PS5. Native console support depends on the separate port Landfall says it is developing.

Will the PS5 version have the same content?
Landfall says the Citadel and Gloom biomes were PEAK’s final major update. The studio has also said the game is not intended to operate as a live-service title. That points to a completed major-content plan rather than a promise of continual large expansions.

Those are sensible points to check once an official console announcement provides more technical information.

What remains unknown about a PS5 release?
- No PS5 release date or launch window has been announced.
- Landfall has not published a confirmed console price, edition list or pre-order details.
- The FAQ does not identify every console platform included in the port.
- Cross-play is promised in principle, but the exact account, matchmaking and progression implementation has not been explained.
- There is no confirmed statement about cross-save or transferring progress from Steam to PS5.
How to follow reliable release news
- Check Landfall’s official FAQ and announcement channels for a dated console update.
- Look for an official PS5 product page on the PlayStation Store in your region before assuming the game is available.
- Confirm whether a reported date applies to worldwide release, an early-access test or a specific region.
- When the port is announced, verify the supported player count, cross-play scope, controller features and save-transfer policy.
What should PS5 players expect?
At present, the safe expectation is a four-player cooperative climbing game adapted from the Steam release, with cross-platform play intended to connect console and PC communities. The broad plan is clear, but the launch schedule and technical details are not.
PEAK first arrived on Steam on June 16, 2025, and its major content updates are now complete. The next major milestone is an official console announcement that supplies a date and store listing. Until then, PEAK is coming to PS5, but it has not arrived there.
