ATLUS announced a free Persona 3 Reload demo on April 9, 2025, for Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. It covers the story’s opening through the first major boss, and you can carry your demo progress into the full game after purchasing it. The original “all platforms” announcement predates the game’s later Nintendo Switch 2 release, and does not confirm a Switch 2 demo.
Where to download the demo
ATLUS West’s April 9, 2025 announcement linked demo downloads for Windows/Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. SEGA’s platform list for the full game specifies Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PS5, PS4, and Steam; it marks Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam as download-only. See ATLUS West’s demo announcement and SEGA’s platform announcement for the listings.
Availability may vary by country and storefront. SEGA’s Asia digital catalog lists a free demo for PS5, PS4, and Steam, but that regional listing does not establish availability everywhere: SEGA Asia’s digital catalog.
What the demo includes
The demo starts at the beginning of the story and continues up to the first major boss battle. ATLUS describes that point as “the first major boss battle against a formidable, large Shadow.” It is a slice of the game, not the full story or full game.

Can you transfer demo progress to the full game?
Yes. ATLUS says you can carry your demo progress into the full game after purchasing it. SEGA notes that the full game must be updated for the transfer. It also warns that the demo and full game share a network save slot, so take care not to overwrite your save when switching between versions. The full game is available in physical and download editions, with availability depending on platform and region. SEGA’s full-game page has purchase and edition information.

That is not confirmed by the cited official pages. SEGA later documented a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the full game, but that release does not establish that the 2025 demo is available on Switch 2 or that a Switch 2 demo save can transfer. The original “all platforms” wording refers to the platforms named in ATLUS’s April 9, 2025 announcement.
