The Metis character trailer promotes Episode Aigis -The Answer-, the concluding story expansion for Persona 3 Reload. Metis is a mechanical girl who claims to be Aigis’s younger sister; in the expansion’s story, she leads S.E.E.S. toward the Abyss of Time. The expansion launched on September 10, 2024, as part of the Expansion Pass, and requires the separately sold base game.
What the Metis character trailer shows
SEGA describes the video as a character trailer featuring Metis dialogue and combat scenes, including Theurgy and an All-Out Attack. The announcement identifies Chiwa Saito as Metis’s Japanese voice actor. It does not provide a transcript, so the official description establishes the kinds of scenes shown but not a detailed sequence of shots. SEGA’s character-video announcement
Who is Metis in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis?
Metis is a mechanical girl who says she is Aigis’s younger sister. The official story setup presents that as Metis’s claim, rather than a fact to assume without qualification. She appears as S.E.E.S. investigates the Abyss of Time, the strange space beneath the dorm. Metis’s dedicated Persona is Psyche, and SEGA’s profile says she specializes in physical, wind, and ice skills. SEGA’s Episode Aigis overview and character profile
What Episode Aigis adds to Persona 3 Reload
Episode Aigis -The Answer- remakes the epilogue originally included in Persona 3 FES (2007), with Aigis as its protagonist. SEGA describes the story as taking place on March 31: S.E.E.S. is trapped in a repeating day, and the Abyss of Time appears below the dorm. Metis guides the group toward the mysterious space.

The expansion includes new exploration and combat features. SEGA highlights Theurgy attacks and field actions specific to Aigis, as well as Link Episodes, five difficulty settings—including HEARTLESS—and Persona Compendium carryover with restrictions. ATLUS markets the Expansion Pass as offering “over 30 hours of all new gameplay, new costumes, and background music sets”; that is the publisher’s description, not an independently measured playtime figure. Episode Aigis is Expansion Pass content, not an expansion included with a physical copy of Persona 3 Reload. You need the base game separately, and the Expansion Pass must be available for your platform and regional store. SEGA’s Japanese product information says the base game must be purchased separately and that the included content was not planned for individual sale on that Japanese product page; availability and packaging can differ by market. SEGA’s Japanese listings show packaged base-game editions for PS4 and PS5, while several other platforms are listed as download-only. That is a regional product detail, not a guarantee of physical availability elsewhere. If you are buying the base game, check the exact platform edition and your local store listing; buying that physical game alone does not provide Episode Aigis.
