Persona 3 Reload has three Social Stats—Academics, Charm, and Courage. Raising them through activities such as studying and part-time work can help unlock facilities, activities, and Social Link opportunities. They are daily-life progression requirements, not combat stats.
What Social Stats do in Persona 3 Reload
Atlus describes Academics, Charm, and Courage as stats characters may need to demonstrate during daily-life activities. Its official Persona 3 Reload game-system page says they can be improved through study and part-time work and are used for facilities and building a community. SEGA’s official game page likewise explains that some daily actions require a stat and that improving stats can provide access to facilities and stronger Social Links.
In practice, treat Social Stats as one part of daily-life progression: some activities and Social Links have rank requirements, but not every activity or link is stat-gated. If you have a particular unlock in mind, check its requirement rather than assuming that raising any stat will open it.
The three Social Stats and their ranks
A guide from Neoseeker lists six ranks for each stat. These labels are useful for tracking your progress, but a rank name does not reveal the hidden progress remaining before the next rank.

Neoseeker also notes that some Iwatodai Strip Mall items require Charm or Courage rank 3 before their special menu becomes available. These rank labels and the menu example come from a secondary guide; Atlus’s official description confirms the three stats and their broad role, not the full rank table.
What can increase Academics, Charm, and Courage?
The official sources identify studying and part-time work as broad ways to improve Social Stats. A specific example from Game8 is working part-time at Chagall Coffee or Be blue V, which can raise Charm and another Social Stat. That guide excerpt does not specify the amount gained or establish a complete list of activities.

Use the activity description and your current needs to choose how to spend free time. Study or work can contribute to stat growth, but the available details do not support ranking every activity by efficiency or naming a universally fastest route. Daily-life time also competes with other activities, so consider which unlock you are working toward before committing a slot.

The same wiki provides a separate table for the female protagonist, so do not apply these male-route thresholds to another protagonist route without checking its specific requirement. For any desired link or activity, use a source that identifies the relevant protagonist version and verify the rank it requires.

A practical way to plan Social Stats
- Choose an unlock to aim for. Identify the facility, activity, or Social Link you want, then check which stat and rank it requires.
- Build the matching stat during free time. Use supported options such as studying or part-time work; consider a combined-stat job when it fits your goal.
- Check your rank again as you progress. The six labels show rank, not exact hidden points toward the next one, so use the in-game status rather than estimating a point total from the label.
- Balance the opportunity cost. A Social Stat activity uses time that could go to another daily-life activity. The available source material does not establish a universal best allocation or exact gains for every option.
