To start Naoki Konishi’s Hanged Man Social Link in Persona 4 Golden, raise Understanding to Rank 3, then keep speaking with him at school after his early-June story introduction until the link begins. For rank meetings, look for him Monday through Thursday when it is not raining; carry a Hanged Man Persona to earn the matching-Arcana affinity bonus. The route below gives the recommended dialogue choices and calls out the social-stat requirements.
How to unlock Naoki’s Social Link
After the early-June story interaction with Naoki, find him at school and speak with him repeatedly. Understanding Rank 3 is required for the link to begin. Guides differ on the exact first date and how many conversations are needed, so treat the story introduction as your cue rather than relying on a particular calendar day. When and where to find Naoki
Naoki is generally available Monday through Thursday, except on rainy days. On ordinary weekdays, look on the first floor of the school’s main building; on holidays, look in the North Shopping District. Availability can also depend on story progress and Social Link rank, so check again if he is not where expected. RPG Site gives the schedule and locations, while the GameFAQs walkthrough notes that schedules may vary with story, rank, and weather.
Best dialogue choices by rank
Choose the listed responses to build affinity efficiently. RPG Site’s point values include the bonus from carrying a matching Persona, so the dialogue recommendations below are more useful as a route than as a universal point total. Equip a Hanged Man Persona before spending time with Naoki to receive that Arcana bonus. Some rank-up prompts have additional choices; the table lists the recommended answers or notes when any answer works.
