Rank 5 gate
You cannot start the Rank 4-to-5 event until Rise has joined the Investigation Team. The guide places the earliest date at July 24, so earlier progress with Marie does not bypass this story-progression requirement.
Choose friendship or romance
At the Rank 8-to-9 branch, choose “Because I love you,” then “Hug her” to confirm the lovers route. Choose “Because you’re my friend” to remain friends. If you choose the romance response but decline the hug, the route returns to friendship. Both routes can reach Rank 10; the dialogue and final scene differ.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When to finish the link
Available guides do not establish a reconciled exact final day for completing Marie’s link: PC Gamer reports December 31, while RPG Site confirms the Rank 10 requirement without specifying a final date. To avoid relying on a potentially unsafe calendar cutoff, prioritize Rank 10 before the late-December story sequence.
