In Persona 5 Royal, Caroline and Justine rank up the Strength Confidant when you bring them a specified Persona carrying a specified skill. The requests are completed in the Velvet Room, and the Royal sequence runs from Jack Frost with Mabufu at rank 1 to Seth with High Counter at rank 10. Use the list below to identify each target, then make sure the requested skill is on the finished Persona before presenting it.
All Strength Confidant requests in Persona 5 Royal
These are Royal’s requests, not a universal list for every version of Persona 5. The fusion routes are examples documented by RPG Site and other community-maintained walkthroughs; other valid recipes can work if they produce the requested Persona with the required skill. How to complete a request
- Enter the Velvet Room. Speak to Caroline and Justine when you can access the room. Story events can temporarily prevent access.
- Check the current request. The twins specify both a Persona and a skill. The Persona alone is not enough; it must know the named skill.
- Build the requested Persona. Use the route in the table as a starting point. Skills can be learned by leveling a Persona, inherited during fusion, or supplied by a skill card when available.
- Verify the result before turning it in. Check the resulting Persona’s skill list, especially after a multi-Persona fusion. If the required skill did not inherit, adjust the fusion or use another documented route.
- Present it to the twins. Return to Caroline and Justine in the Velvet Room with the valid Persona to complete the request and advance the Confidant.
Which requests differ from the original Persona 5?
Do not follow an original-game list without checking it against Royal. The requested Personas change at several early ranks: Royal asks for Ame-no-Uzume with Frei at rank 2, Flauros with Tarukaja at rank 3, Phoenix with Counter at rank 4, and Setanta with Rakukaja at rank 5. In the original Persona 5, the targets for those requests differ. RPG Site’s guide covers both games and calls out the changed solutions.
What the ranks unlock
The main mechanical payoff is access to more flexible fusion options. Group Guillotine at rank 1 enables advanced three-Persona fusion; Lockdown arrives at rank 3; and Special Treatment at rank 5 allows paid fusion above the protagonist’s current level. Rank 8 adds Guillotine Booster, expanding advanced fusion options. At rank 10, Royal VIP Treatment reduces the fee for Special Measures. The twins’ requests can therefore be useful well beyond completing the Confidant itself, particularly when you need a higher-level Persona or a specific fusion result.

Skill inheritance and card alternatives
A fusion recipe is only useful if the target comes out with the requested skill. When choosing inheritance skills, select the required one if the fusion screen offers it; if it is missing, back out and use a different source Persona or recipe. Leveling the skill source first is a reliable option for requests such as Jack Frost with Mabufu, Lachesis with Tetraja, Hecatoncheires with Masukunda, and Bugs with Samarecarm. Skill cards can reduce the inheritance work where a card is available: the documented examples include a Frei card route for Ame-no-Uzume and a High Counter card route for Seth. Card availability depends on its in-game source, so these are alternatives rather than guaranteed shortcuts.
