To rank up the Strength Confidant in Persona 5 Royal, show Caroline and Justine each requested Persona with the specified skill. The ten requests run from Jack Frost with Mabufu to Seth with High Counter. This guide gives the Royal-only checklist, preparation advice and rank benefits; recipes can differ with game version, DLC and fusion results, so verify the required skill before presenting a Persona.
How the Strength Confidant works in Persona 5 Royal
The Twin Wardens’ Strength Confidant becomes available in the Velvet Room from May 18. Its ranks advance by presenting a requested Persona with a particular skill, not by choosing dialogue answers during ordinary hangouts. Ranking it does not consume a time slot.

When you have the requested Persona, speak to the twins in the Velvet Room and present it. The Persona must have the named skill in its skill list; merely owning a Persona that could learn the skill is not enough. Learn the skill first or pass it through fusion inheritance, then check the finished Persona before you turn it in.
All Twin Wardens fusion requests and rank benefits
| Rank | Persona to present | Required skill | Rank benefit |

| 2 | Ame-no-Uzume | Frei | No separate fusion facility is listed for this rank. |
| 3 | Flauros | Tarukaja | Lockdown: leave a Persona in the Velvet Room to gain resistance skills. |
| 4 | Phoenix | Counter | No separate fusion facility is listed for this rank. |
| 5 | Setanta | Rakukaja | Special Treatment: pay to fuse Personas above the protagonist’s level. |

Special Treatment at rank 5 lets you pay to fuse above your current level; rank 10’s VIP Treatment lowers that fee. The other facility unlocks are Group Guillotine, Lockdown and Guillotine Booster.

How to fuse the requested Personas with their skills
The following are workable route outlines from the cited guides, not a promise that every recipe is identical in every setup. Fusion outcomes and available inheritance can vary with Royal versus the original game, DLC, Persona levels and skill selection. Some routes in Prima Games’ guide assume access to all DLC. If a listed combination does not produce the named Persona in your game, use the Velvet Room’s fusion search and preserve the required skill through the resulting chain.
- Rank 1 — Jack Frost with Mabufu: Obtain or fuse Jack Frost and ensure it has Mabufu. Jack Frost learns Mabufu at level 12, so level it until the skill appears if needed.
- Rank 2 — Ame-no-Uzume with Frei: One route in RPG Site’s guide uses Suzaku and Berith. Alternatively, use a Frei skill card if available. Confirm that the resulting Ame-no-Uzume has Frei.
- Rank 3 — Flauros with Tarukaja: Use the three-Persona fusion of Berith, Orobas and Eligor. The route requires Tarukaja to be carried through the fusion, so check the inherited skills before confirming.
- Rank 4 — Phoenix with Counter: A route uses Yaksini with Kelpie; another listed combination uses Yaksini and Genbu. In either case, make sure Counter is inherited by Phoenix.
- Rank 5 — Setanta with Rakukaja: Silky and Lamia are one route. Preserve Rakukaja through the fusion and verify it on Setanta.
- Rank 6 — Neko Shogun with Dekaja: A common route starts with Anzu after it learns Dekaja, then uses an advanced fusion with Kodama and Sudama. Carry Dekaja through to Neko Shogun.
- Rank 7 — Lachesis with Tetraja: One route uses Clotho with Tetraja and a Treasure Demon; other guides describe multi-stage chains. Confirm the fusion result and inherit Tetraja.
- Rank 8 — Hecatoncheires with Masukunda: One approach is to level Lilim until it learns Masukunda, then fuse it with a compatible Persona. A Masukunda skill card from a Twin Wardens outing is another option noted in the guides.
- Rank 9 — Bugs with Samarecarm: Bugs is made with an advanced fusion. Its fusion becomes available after completing the Mementos request “The Lovesick Cyberstalking Girl.” Hariti learns Samarecarm at level 41 and can pass it through fusion.
- Rank 10 — Seth with High Counter: One route uses a High Counter skill card obtained from the Mementos request “The Killer Who Cleans Up Trash.” Another passes the skill through a fusion chain involving Personas such as Dakini. Check Seth’s finished skill list before presenting it.
Why recipes differ between guides
Fusion recipes are not universally interchangeable. A guide may assume DLC Personas, a different game edition or a specific skill inheritance path. The skill requirement is the part that must be satisfied for the request; the route used to create that Persona can vary. Use the Velvet Room’s fusion search for your current save, and do not finalize a fusion until the requested skill can be selected or is already present.
Rank #2
- Persona 5 Royal für PS5 (Deutsche Verpackung)
Make sure a guide is specifically for Royal. For example, Royal’s rank 3 request is Flauros with Tarukaja, while the original Persona 5 asks for Matador with Magaru. Royal rank 4 asks for Phoenix with Counter, and rank 5 asks for Setanta with Rakukaja; the original game uses different requests at those ranks. Royal also places Special Treatment at rank 5 and Guillotine Booster at rank 8.
