How Persona’s reported sales milestones changed
SEGA’s announcements show three milestones in sequence. They are dated company announcements, not a basis for calculating a precise sales growth rate: the cited releases do not establish matching measurement dates or a consistent accounting definition for every figure.

What the 23.5 million figure means
The 23.5 million total was a genuine SEGA-reported milestone, but it has been superseded by the later 30 million announcement. SEGA’s June 2025 release used the wording “over 23.5 million copies worldwide” while announcing Persona 4 Revival. It did not explain the detailed accounting behind that total. The following August, SEGA explicitly said its over-27-million figure included physical and digital sales; that description should not automatically be retroactively applied to the earlier figure.
There are no competing estimates in the cited official announcements that need to be reconciled. The useful reading is chronological: the series passed 23.5 million, then over 27 million, and later reached 30 million in SEGA’s reported figures. These announcements do not provide enough matching measurement details to turn the milestones into a reliable sales-growth rate.

Persona 3 Reload has a physical Switch 2 edition
SEGA’s August 2025 release also lists a physical standard edition of Persona 3 Reload for Nintendo Switch 2, available from October 23, 2025. That establishes the edition and its announced release date, but not current retailer inventory or listing details; check the retailer’s platform and edition information before purchasing.
