Petit Planet is HoYoverse’s upcoming slow-life game about shaping a planet, gathering and crafting, spending time with fuzzy neighbors, exploring, and meeting other players. HoYoverse announced a winter 2026 release window for PC, iOS, and Android, with progression shared across those platforms; it has not announced an exact launch day.

What is Petit Planet?

HoYoverse describes Petit Planet as a slow-life game centered on creating a planet of your own. Its announced activities bring together several familiar cozy-game loops: building and decorating, collecting resources, crafting, developing relationships with neighbors, exploring, and socializing. Calling that mix a “playlist of cozy gaming’s greatest hits” is an editorial interpretation of the announced features—not a claim made by the publisher or a hands-on assessment.

In its August 26, 2026 announcement, HoYoverse described players shaping terrain and arranging areas to create a personal landscape. Players can collect resources, craft furniture, and build homes alongside fuzzy neighbors, with whom they can also adventure. The publisher additionally describes exploring Starlands for resources and discoveries and meeting other players at the Star Market. These are announced features, not independently verified gameplay findings. HoYoverse’s announcement

When does Petit Planet come out, and what platforms are confirmed?

HoYoverse announced a global release window of winter 2026 for PC, iOS, and Android. The announcement says data progression works across those platforms, so players can continue progression across the announced PC and mobile versions. It does not give a specific release date. The publisher identified pre-registration pages on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Epic Games Store. Pre-registration is not the same as release, and it does not by itself guarantee access to a beta. Store availability and launch details may vary by region; the cited announcement does not establish a final platform list beyond the named PC and mobile platforms.

How its announced activities fit together

Shape a home planet

Terrain shaping and arranging areas are the foundation of the personal landscape HoYoverse describes. Furniture crafting and home building extend that creative loop, giving players announced ways to customize both the land and the spaces on it.

Gather, craft, and explore

Resource collection connects exploration with making things: HoYoverse says players can visit Starlands to find resources and discoveries, then craft furniture and develop their planet. The announcement does not specify the breadth of crafting recipes, exploration zones, or progression systems.

Spend time with neighbors and other players

Fuzzy neighbors are presented as companions for living and adventuring, while the Star Market is described as a place to meet other players. That suggests both relationship-focused and shared social activities, but the announcement does not explain whether the broader experience is solo, private, or shared by default, or how social features are controlled.

Why “a playlist of cozy gaming’s greatest hits” fits—and where the comparison stops

The phrase works as a critical shorthand for the combination of life-sim activities HoYoverse has announced: home and landscape customization, resource gathering, crafting, companionship, exploration, and a social meeting place. It does not establish that Petit Planet is objectively the best in the genre, that it copies a particular game, or that the activities have been tested in a finished release.

For players deciding whether to follow it, the practical question is whether this announced mix sounds appealing. Someone drawn to shaping a home base and collecting with companions may find the premise promising; someone primarily looking for a particular farming, romance, or multiplayer system should wait for specifics, since those details are not established in the cited announcement.

What beta information does—and does not—tell players

HoYoverse’s April 2, 2026 Stardrift Test FAQ described a limited-access test that began April 21, with its end date to be announced at the time. It listed Windows PC, iOS, and Android; required a persistent internet connection; restricted participation to adults 18 and older; and said each account could receive access for one platform. Test progress would be wiped, and the test had no in-game purchases. The FAQ listed test text in English, Japanese, French, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese, and voice-over in English, Japanese, and Chinese. These were terms and language options for that specific test, not confirmed full-release policies or a statement of later beta access. Stardrift Test FAQ

The FAQ also cautioned: “The game is still in development, and the content in this test does not represent the final quality of the game.” Accordingly, the test’s purchase rules, age limit, platform availability, internet requirement, language support, and data wipe should not be treated as final-launch specifications.
