PIGFACE, a single-player first-person shooter from solo developer titolovesyou and publisher DreadXP, entered Steam Early Access on September 18, 2025. It is not an upcoming September release: Steam continues to list the game as Early Access, so players should treat it as an in-development version rather than a finished 1.0 release.
What is PIGFACE?
You play as Exit, a woman forced to carry out contracts after a bomb is implanted in her head. Steam describes the game as a fast-paced, kinetic, ultra-violent first-person shooter. Its missions are combat sandboxes: players can approach fights loudly or use stealth, build out a loadout through the Black Market, and unlock masks with abilities.
The game launched on PC through Steam and is listed as single-player. In its September 9, 2025 announcement, titolovesyou and DreadXP described the missions, weapons, and gear as the start of a project that would continue developing in Early Access. Read the announcement on Terminals.
Is PIGFACE still in Early Access?
Yes. Steam still labels PIGFACE an Early Access game. That means the current release is not complete, and its content and systems may change as development continues. The developer says it is using Early Access while it works on levels, systems, and enemy AI.

What is planned for the full version?
The developer’s Steam page lists optional levels with their own stories and unlocks, replayable completed levels featuring different gangs, more dynamic enemy AI, additional weapons and masks, and a proper ending as planned additions. These are development plans, not a guarantee that every item has shipped.
Is there a confirmed 1.0 date?
No confirmed 1.0 date is given in the cited announcements. At Early Access launch, the developer estimated that development might take about a year, but made the duration conditional on the game becoming content-complete and polished. That launch-era estimate is not a current release-date confirmation. The developer also said the game was fully funded and would launch into 1.0 regardless of Early Access success. How violent is PIGFACE?
Steam’s developer-provided mature-content notice warns that firearms and melee weapons produce blood splatter, enemies can have their heads or entire bodies destroyed, and gang activity includes mentions and depictions of illegal drugs. The game is explicitly positioned as ultra-violent, so it is not a suitable choice for players seeking restrained combat or a low-violence shooter.
