Capcom’s official material dates many Resident Evil stories, but it does not publish a verified height and full birthday for every playable character. Age in this series belongs to a specific appearance, because the same character can appear at different ages in games set years apart. The official pages consulted for this article support chronology and character history, not a complete biographical table. This reference separates what can be stated from what cannot, and labels each figure so that a number is never presented as universal.
Why age depends on the game
Resident Evil entries are set at different points in a branching timeline, and a game’s release year is not its story year. A character’s age is therefore meaningful only beside the game or event where it appears. Capcom’s official Resident Evil Portal is the reference for that chronology, and every date in this article comes from it. An age given without its event year is incomplete.

What is and is not established for each figure
Age
An age requires a birth year that can be checked against an event date. The official pages consulted for this article did not provide one for the characters named in the timeline, so no character’s age is listed as confirmed. Capcom’s character files for Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy add story history, including later operations and timeline events. That helps place them in the chronology, but the files do not give an age.

Height
No playable character’s height is verified in the consulted official pages. Height figures do circulate in secondary compilations, but they cannot be treated as official until traced to a named origin. The reasons are set out below.
Rank #2
- FEAR COMES HOME -- Fear, combat, exploration, and item management: these are the four pillars of survival horror, a genre that has never been more masterfully executed than in the gameplay of Resident Evil. The horror continues in the ground-breaking Resident Evil 7. Step into the new Isolated View and experience true survival horror in a world created by the all-new RE Engine.
- DEEP IN THE BAYOU - When Ethan Winters opened his inbox, the last thing he expected was to find an email from his wife; she had been missing for three years. The message was simple: "Come get me," and an address in Louisiana. This leads Ethan to a decrepit mansion in the heart of the bayou. The place has a seriously creepy vibe, but Ethan continues his search – until a stranger attacks him and knocks him unconscious. Ethan has no idea what awaits him when he wakes up...for he is now in the clutches of the Baker family.
- A NEW PERSPECTIVE -- In RESIDENT EVIL 7, we're changing the way you interact with the world. For this next major entry in the series, play from a first-person point of view, dramatically increasing your ability to become fully absorbed in the world we have created.
- NEW FOR PLAYSTATION5 – Upgraded features new to the PlayStation5 version of the game include a higher frame rate, 3D audio, added ray tracing, and engaging DualSense support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
Birthday
The consulted official sources do not confirm a full birthday for the characters covered here. A birth year on its own supports only an approximate, year-based age, and even that depends on a traceable origin.

- TERRIFYING ZOMBIES WAITING AROUND EVERY CORNER -- Driven by insatiable hunger, these creatures act on instinct, gnashing their teeth, ripping at flesh, and devouring their victims. The new immersive camera lets you feel their fangs as they sink into your flesh.
- RACCOON CITY, REBUILT IN INTRICATE DETAIL -- The characters, environments, and story have all been rebuilt from the ground up to create a terrifying world that feels both nostalgic and new.
- NEW FOR PLAYSTATION5 – Upgraded features new to the PlayStation5 version of the game include a higher frame rate, 3D audio, added ray tracing, and engaging DualSense support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
- Full date confirmed: an official source gives the day, month and year.
- Birth year only: the year is traced to an official source, and any age derived from it is approximate.
- Age tied to event: the age applies to one named appearance, shown with its event year.
- Height source-dependent: the height is attributed to a named profile, manual or in-game document, and may differ from other sources.
- Not established in consulted sources: no traceable value was found, so the field is marked rather than estimated.
Working out an age for one appearance
- Take the in-universe year of the appearance from Capcom’s timeline or from the game’s own story text, not from its release year.
- Look for a birth year in an official profile, game manual or in-game document. If none is traceable, stop and label the age “Not established in consulted sources.”
- If a full birthday is also traceable, subtract the birth year from the event year, then subtract one more year if the birthday falls after the event date. Label the result “Full date confirmed.”
- If only a birth year is traceable, subtract it from the event year and label the result “Birth year only, approximate.”
- Record the game or event beside the result, and repeat the check for each separate appearance.
As an illustration with an invented birth year, 1975 and a 1998 event give a year-based age of 23. If the verified birthday falls after the event date, the age is 22. The figure does not describe any real character.
Why secondary compilations are not used as the reference
Secondary compilations list many candidate birth years, ages and heights, especially for well-known characters. They are useful as leads, but they should not be quoted as official figures for three reasons:
Rank #4
- CLASSIC RESIDENT EVIL GAMEPLAY -- Overcome chilling encounters in a relentless fight for survival that ratchets up the intensity through nail-biting exploration and gripping puzzle-solving.
- EXPLORE RACCOON CITY FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE -- Get even closer to the action with an over-the-shoulder camera and updated control scheme, drawing you into every bloodcurdling encounter.
- SURVIVE TOGETHER IN THE MULTIPLAYER MODE -- Bring up to four friends into the carnage with Resident Evil Resistance, a multiplayer survival horror experience included in the Resident Evil 3 package. Available as a PlayStation 4 title compatible on all PlayStation 5 devices. Includes code necessary for redemption, requires additional download not on disc.
- NEW FOR PLAYSTATION5 – Upgraded features new to the PlayStation5 version of the game include a higher frame rate, 3D audio, added ray tracing, and engaging DualSense support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
- Their own tables show that ages vary by game, so a single age cannot stand for a character.
- Some entries conflict with other sections of the same compilation.
- The figures are not traced to a primary publication, so their origin cannot be checked.
To upgrade a figure taken from a compilation, locate the profile, manual or in-game text that states it, and record that origin beside the label.

The word “every” needs a boundary before a complete table is possible. Capcom’s timeline names main characters for selected entries and is not an inventory of every playable role. The consulted sources do not establish which modes list which characters, so each figure should be tied to the specific appearance it describes.

- Reawaken a Classic – Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game, now reconstructed using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine to deliver realistic visuals and additional narrative depth to the iconic story that was not possible at the time of the original release.
- Modernized Gameplay – The team from 2019’s Resident Evil 2 returns to build upon the series’ modern approach to survival horror. Engage in frenzied combat with the Ganados villagers, explore a European village gripped by madness, and solve puzzles to access new areas and collect useful items for Leon and Ashley’s constant struggle to survive.
- Overwhelming Hordes – Face hordes of rabid enemies that threaten to overwhelm Leon with even more diverse methods of attack than in the original release.
- Survive on a Knife’s Edge – Years of intense training have taught Leon new ways to use his knife, helping to even the odds against the unrelenting onslaught of enemies. By parrying enemy attacks, you can avoid debilitating damage and evade lunging enemies seeking to grab Leon and hold him in place. Make smart use of scavenged knives to deliver precise finishing moves on vulnerable enemies, and even use the element of surprise to quietly dispatch unsuspecting foes before they break.
