If the old page now shows a 404, a blank screen, “Trouble loading this page,” or a regional-availability message, the expired campaign—not usually your PS4, PS5, or home browser—is the main explanation. During the original rollout, users also encountered regional routing, account-eligibility, and cache problems. You can review the historical fixes below, but Sony has not documented a current way to regenerate a closed 2020 report.
What PlayStation 2020 Wrap-Up included
PlayStation Wrap-Up was Sony’s year-end summary for 2020. Eligible users could view their most-played games, total play hours, trophies earned and other gameplay statistics. The experience also showed selected aggregate figures from the PlayStation community, and qualifying users could claim a free PS4 dynamic theme. Sony described the features and eligibility in its official announcement.
“Last year” in articles published during the launch meant the period from January 1 through December 31, 2020. It does not refer to the current year’s PlayStation activity.
Is the 2020 Wrap-Up still available?
No—not through Sony’s original campaign. The announcement set March 2, 2021 as the final day to access the report. The announcement page itself remains readable, but its personalized service was temporary. A current annual Wrap-Up is a separate event and does not automatically reopen your 2020 cards or statistics. For example, Sony’s 2024 Wrap-Up ran from December 10, 2024 through January 10, 2025, with its own rules and access period (Sony’s 2024 announcement).

That means normal browser repairs, changing a console setting today, or contacting a different regional website should not be expected to restore the old report.
Why users saw errors in 2021
Contemporary coverage and user discussions documented several different failure modes:
- “Trouble loading this page.”
- A “404 General Error Message.”
- A notice that Wrap-Up was available only in selected locations.
- A page that loaded in one locale but failed after an automatic regional redirect.
- A report that appeared incomplete or inconsistent with the player’s recollection.
Those symptoms did not all have one cause. Some reflected regional rollout or routing, some reflected account eligibility, and some may have been temporary site or browser problems. Tech Times reported locale changes and cache clearing as possible workarounds during the live campaign, while Reddit discussions recorded anecdotal regional and statistics complaints. Neither source establishes a universal Sony fix or a specific cause for every account (Tech Times; PlayStation community discussion).
Who qualified for the report?
Sony’s stated requirements were tied to the account and activity recorded during 2020:

The full conditions appear in Sony’s 2020 Wrap-Up announcement. A page could therefore be functioning while still declining to create a report for an account that missed one of these conditions.
How PS5 activity was counted
The threshold was framed around PS4 play. Sony said people who used both PS4 and PS5 during 2020 could see some general statistics from their PS5 experience, but PS5-only play was not presented as an equivalent to the 10-hour PS4 requirement. Extensive PS5 use alone therefore did not guarantee a report.
Where the data setting was located
For the specified regions, Sony directed users to check Settings → Device Data/Health & Safety → Device Data on PS4. Labels could vary by system language or firmware version. That setting mattered while the campaign was collecting and processing data; enabling it in 2026 cannot reliably recreate a closed report.
Historical troubleshooting steps from the live campaign
The following describes what users could try in February 2021. These are not guaranteed fixes for an expired service.

Open the official address
The original entry point was https://www.wrapup.playstation.com/. Today it may redirect, return a generic PlayStation error, or show no personalized service because the campaign window has ended.

Use the qualifying PSN account
Sign out of the PlayStation website and sign back in with the account that accumulated the qualifying PS4 activity. A different adult account, a child account, or an account registered in another country could produce an empty result or an eligibility message.

Check the regional page
Tech Times reported that changing a locale suffix from the automatically selected U.S. page to an English locale such as
en-gboren-casometimes allowed the page to load. This was a reported workaround, not an official Sony guarantee. It did not change the country on the PSN account, bypass eligibility, or create access after March 2, 2021 (Tech Times report). -
Clear site data and retry
During the rollout, coverage recommended clearing PlayStation cookies and cached files. A practical sequence was to sign out, clear data for PlayStation domains, reopen the official address, and try a current desktop browser. A private window or a browser with script-blocking and redirect-blocking extensions disabled could also distinguish a local browser problem from a service failure. Avoid endless refreshing when the backend is under load.

Verify eligibility before treating it as an outage
Confirm the account was 18 or older, had at least 10 hours on PS4 in 2020, used the qualifying regional account, and—where required—had Additional Data enabled. Check that your activity was not split between different PSN accounts and that you were not expecting an email without marketing-email consent.
What the common symptoms meant
“Only available in selected locations”
This could indicate regional rollout, locale routing, an account-country mismatch, or a service-side availability problem. The appropriate historical response was to use the correct official regional page and verify the PSN account region—not to misrepresent your location.
The page loaded but showed no report
The account may have been ineligible, signed in under the wrong identity, below the PS4-hours threshold, restricted by age, or missing the required regional data permission. PS5-only activity was another possible explanation.
Totals looked wrong
Some players reported implausible playtime or online totals in community discussions. Those reports are anecdotal, not proof of a confirmed Sony defect. Counting rules, offline activity, shared consoles, multiple accounts, online-session tracking and data-processing limitations could all affect how a personal total appeared. There is no documented correction process for an expired report.

What you can do now to find your 2020 results
If your goal is the original personalized cards, recovery depends on whether you saved a copy:
- Search the email account linked to PSN for a PlayStation Wrap-Up message from February or March 2021.
- Check cloud photo backups and your phone’s screenshots for Wrap-Up cards.
- Look through PS4 captures, the old activity feed and trophy records.
- Search social accounts, Reddit posts, Facebook posts or PlayStation community posts where you may have shared the results.
- Review personal gaming logs, spreadsheets or archived social-media exports.
These methods can recover a screenshot or message you already kept; they cannot reconstruct the official report when no copy exists. There is no established Sony procedure that regenerates the 2020 presentation on demand. You can use the PlayStation Support portal for account questions, but do not assume support can restore an expired promotional page.
What not to try
- Do not give your PSN password to a “stat recovery” service or an unofficial mirror.
- Do not rely on VPNs to bypass regional controls; they do not change the account’s registered country or historical eligibility and can create security or terms-of-service risks.
- Do not install third-party tools that promise to recreate Sony’s report from your account credentials.
If the old URL fails in 2026, the useful conclusion is that the campaign is closed. Browser troubleshooting was relevant during the 2021 access window; it is not a way to reopen the personalized service today.
