Which games are in the October 2026 lineup?
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced three Monthly Games for October. The platforms and play styles differ:

Sony’s announcement describes F1 25 as the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. The lineup and game descriptions were announced by Adam Michel, Senior Director, Content Acquisition & Operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Read Sony’s PlayStation Blog announcement.
Why is F1 25 being called an “8/10” racer?
Gamingbible’s October 6 report characterized F1 25 as “essentially an 8/10 score on Metacritic.” That is Gamingbible’s description, not a score Sony provided in its lineup announcement; the available information here does not independently verify a Metacritic rating. Read Gamingbible’s report.

When can PlayStation Plus members claim the games?
Sony’s stated availability window is Tuesday, October 6 through Monday, November 2, 2026. Members should add the games to their library during that window. September’s Monthly Games could be added through October 5.
Does the lineup vary by region?
Yes. Sony cautions that the Monthly Games lineup may differ by region and advises checking the local PlayStation Store. The three titles and platforms listed above are those in Sony’s announcement; the Store is the place to confirm the offer available to your account.

Are these games free?
“Free games” is common shorthand, but Sony calls them Monthly Games for PlayStation Plus members. They are offered through the membership benefit during the stated claim window, rather than being a permanent free-to-play offer.
