The widely cited “700+” figure refers to an estimate of Nostra’s regional store listings—not 700 distinct games—and Sony had not publicly explained the specific removals in the coverage reviewed.
What was removed—and what does “700+” mean?
Notebookcheck reported on March 23, 2026, that around 90 Nostra Games titles had been delisted, representing about 700 PlayStation Store listings when regional versions were counted. GamesRadar also described close to 90 Nostra games and roughly 700 regional listings. These are press estimates based on storefront observations, not a total published by Sony. Notebookcheck and GamesRadar reported the figures.

That distinction matters: a single game may have separate listings in different regional storefronts, so the listing count is larger than the number of underlying titles. The reporting also named CGI Lab games as removed. Notebookcheck estimated that including CGI Lab brought the broader total to roughly 1,000 listings; that, too, is an estimate rather than an official Sony figure. Notebookcheck covered the wider estimate, while Push Square reported the removals on March 21, 2026.
Which publishers and games were involved?
The reports identify Nostra Games and CGI Lab. Examples cited in coverage include Nostra titles Be A Bee, Angry Battalion and Fridge Escape, and CGI Lab titles Platform 0 and WeedEx: Drug Express Delivery. These are examples from the reports, not a complete catalog; the cited coverage does not establish their current listing status. Notebookcheck and GamesRadar discuss examples.

Why did Sony remove the listings?
The specific reason was not disclosed in the reports reviewed. GamesRadar quoted Casstlgames, identified as the manager and administrator of Nostra’s official Discord server, saying: “Unfortunately, PlayStation Store has removed our games, and we’re unable to provide an exact reason because it wasn’t shared with us either.” GamesRadar published the statement.
Coverage situated the removals amid discussion of low-effort or repetitive releases, easy trophy earning and AI-generated assets. That is context, not confirmation that Sony removed these particular listings for any of those reasons. The reporting reviewed contains no statement from a named Sony representative explaining the action, and it does not establish a confirmed AI-related criterion for these delistings. What did Nostra say it would do next?
In a statement reproduced by Push Square, a Nostra spokesperson said the company planned to continue releasing games on Nintendo Switch, Xbox and Steam. The spokesperson also said the removal was unexpected and that the publisher had not been given an exact reason. This was the publisher’s stated plan in March 2026; it does not independently confirm the current availability of any particular game on those platforms. Push Square published the longer statement.
