When was the first State of Play of 2026?
PlayStation announced the show on February 9, 2026, and scheduled it for February 12 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. The event is now over; it is not an upcoming broadcast.
The advance announcement, reproduced in GameSpot’s February 9 report, promised “60+ minutes of news, gameplay updates, and announcements from game studios across the globe.” At the time, Sony had not confirmed which games would appear.
How long was the February 2026 State of Play?
The “60+ minutes” figure was PlayStation’s pre-show promise, not a measured runtime. In the official recap published on February 12, Gillen McAllister, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Manager of Content Communications, described the completed broadcast as “just over an hour.”
