How did Dusk Form Lycanroc debut?
Some Rockruff that Trainers hatched or encountered during the event could evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc instead of Midday or Midnight Form. The announcement also described the event as the first time Shiny Rockruff could evolve into Shiny Dusk Form Lycanroc in Pokémon GO. The possibility was conditional: the announcement did not say every Rockruff was eligible or provide evolution odds.
Rockruff from 2 km and 7 km Eggs, raids, and Field Research were among the event routes. Rockruff hatched from Adventure Sync reward Eggs during the Timeless Travels season might also have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form, according to the event announcement. No route was identified as more likely to produce an eligible Rockruff.
