Pheromosa is a Bug- and Fighting-type Ultra Beast, so Flying-type attacks are the key weakness to exploit. The displayed PoGO Nest counter list is led by Mega Rayquaza with Air Slash and Dragon Ascent, but those rankings are database recommendations—not a test for this guide. Pheromosa’s availability is event- and region-dependent: the official schedule cited here listed it in five-star raids in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India on July 6, 2026, a date that has passed. No current or next appearance is established by that schedule.
Is Pheromosa in raids right now?
The official Road of Legends 2026 announcement listed Pheromosa in five-star raids on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. The event ran from July 6 at 12:01 a.m. through July 10 at 11:59 p.m. local time, but the Pheromosa listing applied to July 6 only. That date has passed, so it does not establish that Pheromosa is available now or indicate when it will return. Check current in-game raid listings and official event announcements for a new appearance.

What is Pheromosa weak to?
Pheromosa is Bug- and Fighting-type. Flying attacks are especially useful because both of its types are vulnerable to Flying-type moves. Pokémon GO explains that a Pokémon can take extra damage when both of its types share a weakness. Attacks that match the attacking Pokémon’s type also receive a power boost, so favor Pokémon with strong Flying moves that benefit from this type match where possible. See Niantic’s guide to type effectiveness in battle.
What are the best counters for Pheromosa?
PoGO Nest’s displayed Pheromosa counter list places these Flying attackers among its leading entries:

These are database recommendations, not universally optimal choices or results from a test for this guide. PoGO Nest credits the rankings to PokeBattler and says they are based on the September 2024 raid mechanics update. Pokémon availability, your team’s levels and moves, and the other players in the raid can affect what works best for your group. The database’s Pheromosa raid data and counters page has the detailed rankings.

- It all comes in a sturdy collector's box that's perfect for storing your cards
- Gear up for battle like never before as Pokémon GO meets the Pokémon Trading Card Game!
- Choose super-effective attacks. Prioritize Pokémon that can use strong Flying-type moves; matching a move to its user’s type can add a further power boost.
- Bring a Mega-Evolved Pokémon if it fits your team. Niantic says Mega Evolution can provide special bonuses to you and other Trainers, though it does not name a single required Mega counter for Pheromosa.
- Dodge charged attacks. Niantic recommends dodging a raid boss’s charged attacks to reduce damage and keep your Pokémon in the battle longer.
- Team up if the boss is difficult for your group. Niantic advises joining other Trainers against challenging raid bosses. The cited guidance does not set a guaranteed player count for Pheromosa, so use your group’s strength and available counters to judge readiness.
These general recommendations come from Niantic’s raid boss battle guidance; they are not a Pheromosa-specific guaranteed-win formula.
How does a Pheromosa raid work?
Pheromosa is an Ultra Beast, identified on Pokémon GO’s historical Ultra Beast event page as “UB-02 Beauty.” An Ultra Beast raid begins with an Ultra Wormhole and can be challenged like a standard Raid Battle, according to the Pokémon GO Help Center. The official Ultra Beast Arrival page also records a global Ultra Beast Raid Day on November 27, 2022; that historical event is not a current schedule.

How do you catch Pheromosa after a raid?
After defeating an Ultra Beast, you may receive Beast Balls, the special balls used to catch Ultra Beasts. Their quantity depends on damage dealt, whether your team controls the Gym, and how quickly the raid boss is defeated. Use Berries to help with the catch. If you run out of Beast Balls before catching the Ultra Beast, it flees, according to Niantic’s Ultra Beast raid guidance.
