Mega Mewtwo Y is the strongest Psychic-type raid attacker in the latest reviewed ranking snapshot. Pokémon GO Hub’s October 13, 2026 table lists it at 51.88 DPS and 1,553.1 TDO with Psycho Cut and Future Sight+. Mega Mewtwo X, Shadow Mewtwo, Mega Alakazam and Mega Gardevoir follow, but the best choice for your account depends on whether you value peak damage, relobby time, move accessibility or a Mega boost for the rest of your party.
The current Psychic attacker shortlist
The following is a snapshot rather than a permanent tier list. Pokémon GO Hub updated its Psychic attacker ranking on October 13, 2026 at 07:40 UTC. Its default table includes Mega, Shadow and other listed forms, and marks some moves as legacy. The plus sign in Future Sight+ is retained exactly as shown in that table.

| Rank | Attacker | Fast move | Charged move | DPS | TDO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mega Mewtwo Y | Psycho Cut | Future Sight+ | 51.88 | 1,553.1 |
| 2 | Mega Mewtwo X | Confusion | Psystrike* | 43.33 | 1,274.8 |
| 3 | Shadow Mewtwo | Psycho Cut | Psystrike* | 38.86 | 739.3 |
| 4 | Mega Alakazam | Confusion | Psychic* | 35.96 | 663.1 |
| 5 | Mega Gardevoir | Confusion | Psychic | 32.70 | 819.4 |
An asterisk indicates a legacy move in the Pokémon GO Hub table. Before powering up a candidate, check whether the move can currently be learned normally or requires an Elite TM. A high position is not automatically a recommendation to spend a scarce TM.
Why two rankings can give different answers
Damage-per-second (DPS) measures the rate of damage while the Pokémon is actively attacking. Total damage output (TDO) reflects how much damage it deals before fainting. Neither number by itself describes the entire raid experience.
#1 Best Overall

- 5 Holos Guaranteed minimium per order
- 1 GX, EX, V, VMax, Full Art, Tag Team, or Secret Rare
Dittobase uses eDPS, an efficiency measure that incorporates sustained damage and the time spent rejoining after a team faints. In its default level-40 simulation with 15/15/15 IVs, no weather boost, no friendship bonus and no Party Power, it reports these values:
| Attacker | Moves used | eDPS | Important model settings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Mewtwo Y | Psycho Cut and Future Sight+ | 41.76 | Level 40, perfect IVs, neutral weather, no friendship or Party Power |
| Shadow Mewtwo | Psycho Cut and Psystrike | 30.05 | Same default simulation assumptions |
| Metagross | Best Psychic moveset in the simulation | 20.00 | Best non-Legendary, non-Ultra Beast option in that model |
These eDPS figures should not be mixed directly with Pokémon GO Hub’s DPS values. They answer different questions. Use DPS when comparing damage during the active battle window; use eDPS when relobby time and the likelihood of fainting matter to your group.
Dittobase includes Megas, Primals, Shadows, off-type attackers with Psychic moves and legacy moves by default. Its simulator assumes a 10-second rejoin. Turning off legacy moves produces a more practical comparison for players who only want currently accessible moves.

What each top attacker is good at
Mega Mewtwo Y: the peak-damage choice
Mega Mewtwo Y is first in both reviewed ranking systems. Pokémon GO Hub lists Psycho Cut and Future Sight+ for 51.88 DPS and 1,553.1 TDO. Dittobase gives the same configuration 41.76 eDPS under its level-40, perfect-IV simulation.
Choose it when your priority is maximum Psychic damage from one active attacker and you can field the required Mega form. Its lead does not mean every account should build one immediately: the ranking assumes the listed moves, and the event history supplied for Mega Mewtwo does not establish a current way to obtain or re-obtain it.

Mega Mewtwo X: a powerful alternative form
Mega Mewtwo X is second in the Pokémon GO Hub snapshot at 43.33 DPS and 1,274.8 TDO, using Confusion and Psystrike*. It is substantially ahead of the remaining entries in that table, but Psystrike is marked as legacy. Confirm the move’s present availability before committing an Elite TM or other limited resource.
Mega Mewtwo X and Y are separate Mega forms. Owning one does not automatically make the other available for a raid team, so decide which form matches your immediate goal and the resources on your account.
Shadow Mewtwo: exceptional damage with a durability cost
Shadow Mewtwo ranks third at 38.86 DPS and 739.3 TDO in Pokémon GO Hub’s table. Dittobase places it at 30.05 eDPS in its default simulation. The lower TDO reflects the Shadow tradeoff in that model: Shadow Pokémon receive a 20% attack multiplier while taking 20% more damage, with defense reduced to five-sixths of the normal value.
That combination can make Shadow Mewtwo an excellent damage dealer while also causing earlier fainting and more relobbies. It is most attractive when your group can keep the battle moving despite additional knockouts. A non-Shadow Mewtwo or another strong Psychic attacker may be more efficient for a player who repeatedly loses a full party and spends time rejoining.
Mega Alakazam: high damage in a more fragile package
Mega Alakazam appears fourth at 35.96 DPS and 663.1 TDO with Confusion and Psychic*. Its DPS is strong, but its listed TDO is the lowest of the five entries in the Pokémon GO Hub table. That makes the survival side of the decision important: a short battle with little incoming damage can reward its damage rate, while a long or punishing raid can magnify fainting and relobby costs.
Rank #3
- Rare Pokemon Cards with 100 or Higher (Assorted Lot with Duplicates) (Original Version)
- Each piece a rare Pokemon-type card
- ideal for casual play non-block tournament formats
- Country Origin:USA
Psychic is marked as legacy in this listing. Verify the current move-acquisition route before treating this exact configuration as an accessible build.
Mega Gardevoir: balanced output and team utility
Mega Gardevoir is fifth at 32.70 DPS and 819.4 TDO with Confusion and Psychic. Its damage rate trails the other four entries, but its TDO exceeds Mega Alakazam’s and Shadow Mewtwo’s in the reviewed table. It can therefore be a sensible compromise when you want a Mega on the field without selecting the most fragile high-DPS option in the list.
Because Mega mechanics affect allies as well as the Mega itself, Mega Gardevoir’s value should be judged as part of the entire party rather than by its personal DPS alone.
How Mega bonuses change a raid team
Dittobase states that a Mega-Evolved Pokémon increases the damage dealt by same-type allies by 30% while it is on the field and increases other types by 10%. For a Psychic-focused party, a Psychic Mega can amplify the rest of the team in addition to dealing its own damage.
- Use a Psychic Mega when several teammates are also attacking with Psychic-type moves and the shared boost is likely to remain active.
- Consider the 10% boost to other types when your group is mixing counters rather than using a dedicated Psychic team.
- Do not compare a Mega and a non-Mega only by the individual DPS column; the Mega’s party contribution can change the total raid result.
- Remember that the boost applies while the Mega is on the field. If it faints and you rejoin with ordinary Pokémon, the active bonus changes.
The exact gain for your group depends on the raid boss, party size, weather, friendship bonuses, Party Power and the moves used by every participant. The reviewed figures do not provide a personalized team simulation, so treat the 30% and 10% values as the stated game-model bonuses rather than a promise of a particular clear-time improvement.

Choosing between DPS, eDPS and survivability
Choose peak DPS when the battle is already secure
If several players are present and the raid will end before repeated fainting becomes an issue, the highest active damage can be the most useful priority. Mega Mewtwo Y leads this comparison, followed by Mega Mewtwo X and Shadow Mewtwo in the Pokémon GO Hub snapshot.
Choose eDPS when relobby time is a problem
Solo or small-group players should pay attention to eDPS because it includes downtime after a party faints. A Pokémon that deals more damage per second but causes frequent relobbies can perform less efficiently over the full encounter than its headline DPS suggests.
Choose durability when your team repeatedly faints
TDO is a practical warning sign for how much damage an attacker can contribute before leaving the battle. Shadow Mewtwo’s 739.3 TDO and Mega Alakazam’s 663.1 TDO in the reviewed table are not reasons to discard them, but they do justify checking whether your raid group can support their extra fainting risk.
Choose accessibility when the ideal move is limited
A ranking that assumes a legacy move describes a best-case configuration, not necessarily the best build you can create today. Compare an attainable moveset with the cost and scarcity of an Elite TM before transferring, powering up or changing a move. Dittobase specifically recommends disabling legacy moves when you want an accessibility-focused comparison.

- Identify the raid role. Decide whether you need one Mega to support allies, a high-damage lead, a durable full party or an option that avoids limited moves.
- Check the current move screen. Confirm the fast and charged moves on each candidate. Treat the asterisked Psystrike and Psychic entries, and Future Sight+, exactly as listed rather than assuming they are ordinary move outcomes.
- Separate forms. Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Alakazam and Mega Gardevoir are different Mega choices. Shadow Mewtwo is not interchangeable with a standard Mewtwo for damage and durability.
- Estimate fainting risk. Use TDO as a first warning and eDPS when relobby downtime matters. A small group facing a hard-hitting boss should not rely on DPS alone.
- Account for team buffs. If you are using a Mega, consider the 30% same-type and 10% other-type ally bonuses stated by Dittobase, then check whether teammates will actually benefit from them.
- Match the investment to availability. Do not spend an Elite TM or rare resources solely because a table places a move at the top. First establish that the form and move are obtainable for your account.
- Recheck after game updates. The October 13, 2026 ranking is a dated snapshot. Move changes, new releases, balance updates and altered simulator settings can change the order.
What is known about Mega Mewtwo availability
The official Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale announcement scheduled Mega Mewtwo X for Saturday, September 5, 2026, and Mega Mewtwo Y for Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Super Mega Raids. That September 5–6 event has passed relative to the October 13 ranking update.

Common mistakes when using attacker rankings
- Mixing metrics: Pokémon GO Hub’s DPS is not directly comparable to Dittobase’s eDPS. Label the metric before drawing a conclusion.
- Ignoring the configuration: A listed attacker assumes the fast move, charged move, form and settings shown in the table.
- Treating legacy moves as ordinary: An asterisk signals that move availability needs verification and may involve an Elite TM.
- Using raid rankings for PvP: These lists evaluate raid attacking. They do not establish the best Psychic Pokémon for the GO Battle League.
- Assuming a Mega is only a personal attacker: The Mega’s ally bonus can materially affect a coordinated party.
- Assuming the ranking is permanent: The listed order is tied to a specific October 2026 update and can change with game updates.
- Overlooking relobby time: Shadow attack power can come with more incoming damage and more frequent fainting.
Bottom-line recommendations by player situation
| Your priority | Starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Highest listed Psychic damage | Mega Mewtwo Y | Top of the reviewed Pokémon GO Hub ranking at 51.88 DPS and top of Dittobase’s eDPS model. |
| Another top Mega Mewtwo form | Mega Mewtwo X | Second in the Pokémon GO Hub table at 43.33 DPS, provided the Psystrike* configuration is available to you. |
| Maximum Shadow damage | Shadow Mewtwo | Third in DPS and second among the listed Dittobase eDPS results, with a documented durability penalty. |
| A Mega option with higher listed TDO than Mega Alakazam | Mega Gardevoir | Its 819.4 TDO exceeds Mega Alakazam’s 663.1 in the reviewed snapshot, while its Mega bonus supports allies. |
| Best non-Legendary, non-Ultra Beast in Dittobase’s model | Metagross | Dittobase reports 20.00 eDPS under its default simulation; this is a separate model result, not a Pokémon GO Hub DPS rank. |
No single table can determine the best investment without your available forms, move access, levels, raid group and resources. The defensible conclusion from the October 2026 snapshot is narrower: Mega Mewtwo Y is the leading theoretical Psychic raid attacker, while the best practical choice depends on whether you can use its listed configuration and avoid the relobby or availability problems that the headline ranking does not capture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these the best Psychic Pokémon for PvP too?
No. The cited rankings evaluate raid attacking and do not establish a GO Battle League tier list.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Does owning Mega Mewtwo X mean I also have Mega Mewtwo Y?
No. X and Y are separate Mega forms, and the official event information listed separate raid dates for them.
Should I automatically use an Elite TM on Psystrike or Psychic?
No. Both move configurations are marked as legacy in the reviewed ranking, so verify current availability and the value of the resource for your account first.
Why can Shadow Mewtwo faint faster despite its high attack?
Dittobase models Shadows with 20% more attack and 20% more incoming damage because their defense is reduced to five-sixths of normal.
