A Rainy Lure is a Special Lure Module you install at a PokéStop. It attracts certain Pokémon that love the rain, including Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon. To use one, you must be at least Level 6; the module normally lasts 30 minutes and can benefit nearby Trainers, too.
How do I get a Rainy Lure in Pokémon GO?
Niantic lists the in-game Shop, Research tasks, and leveling up as ways to obtain Lure Modules. Those are general ways to get Lure Modules; they do not guarantee that a Rainy Lure is currently stocked in the Shop or offered by a particular task. Check the Shop and the rewards shown for tasks currently available in your game, or check your item inventory. Niantic’s help page does not establish a current Rainy Lure price.

What does a Rainy Lure do?
It attracts certain Pokémon that love the rain to the PokéStop where it is installed. Niantic describes the Rainy Lure as attracting Pokémon such as Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon. It is a Special Lure Module, so its effect is tied to a PokéStop rather than being a personal item you activate anywhere.

How to use one
- Go to a PokéStop and tap it.
- Tap the module slot below the PokéStop description.
- Select the Rainy Lure from your available modules.
Niantic says a Lure Module normally lasts 30 minutes after installation. It also notes that duration can change with Seasons or special events, so the in-game timer is the best guide during a temporary bonus. Nearby Trainers can benefit from the lure as well as the person who installed it.
What Pokémon does a Rainy Lure attract?
The official description identifies broad types, not a complete list of species: Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon are given as examples of Pokémon that love the rain. Which Pokémon appear in the wild can vary with the current Season and events. Niantic’s cited help information does not provide an exhaustive, fixed Rainy Lure roster, so a named list should not be treated as permanent.

Can you evolve Pokémon with a Rainy Lure?
Special Lures can enable certain Pokémon evolutions. When you are near a PokéStop with a Special Lure that applies to an eligible Pokémon, an evolution option appears on that Pokémon’s detail page. Niantic’s cited pages do not identify a Rainy-Lure-specific evolution target, so they do not confirm that a particular Pokémon evolves with this lure.
